Did anyone do anything special for the anniversary of the disaster at ground zero of the Twin Towers?
Once again I think one person who really gets it, is Craig Ferguson, an American citizen by choice.
I have heard his commentary on his journey to becoming a citizen. I have heard similar comments from people who are first generation of second generation Americans. Those who had to make a conscious choice and go through the process of becoming a citizen. They knew it was going to be a long road and not just as easy as we natural born Americans had.
We need to remember that most of us have ancestors who were born somewhere else. That our ancestors took the journey that Craig Ferguson did. We need to really appreciate the sacrifices our parents and their parents and so on have taken for us.
We need to remember, the victims, and the heroes.
We need to thank someone that we have the opportunity to live in what once was the greatest country in the world, and we need to keep it there.
As Craig Ferguson says in his opening monolog, it's a great day for America. His reason today, because we are still here, we went through tough times and survive. We grow and get better. We don't lie down and roll over, we get back up and fight and work.
We are Americans.
We are STRONG.

In our country Philippines, particularly Ilocanos, September 11 is a memorable date because it is the birthdate of the late president and dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
