define in your terms cheating/affair

i was reading cosmo yesterday and it had an article about cheating the 09 version. depending on how you took it, anything you don't mention to your partner can be taken as a form of cheating. like talking to an ex, in private messages, txt, etc. flirting an all could be a form. i thought that was a bit silly. i don't see much wrong with talking to ex's, or male friends. females`have enough problems of looking side ways at a bloke and there fore she's cheating on her b.f. i know i don't tell my partner much but he's also made things that way as well, so you don't want to hear the names he'll call me. my best ones are that i'm having it off with my work mate and the boss, they both know about. what he's said, and it's all cause. i was talking to my boss one night till dark and my work mate is a long standing joke, but that changed early this yr when my partner's tone about it changed. don't worry there is nothing going on between any of us, i have a death wish with some things but dieing due to an affair is not one of them. to me cheating/affair, is having more of a physcial relationship, sneaking around. doing things you shouldn't do. what's your take on the issue? it's common as now.
