Dear all Indians, I came to know that, we don't use this phrase " I am an Indian". But sometimes we use the phrase "I proud to be an Indian" Now remember if you used this ever before and please explain why you proud to be an Indian. I just want to discuss what quality of India Makes us to be Proud On India......

Yes I am proud to be an Indian because this country provided education for me and gave me a good job.I feel safe in my town but there are some incidents occuring all over the country that make me think why has my country going this way. Frankly speaking I love ancient India, the Indians who fought bravely for our freedom,I love those politicians just after independence great leaders like Nehru Gandhiji,IndiraGandhi many are they are people who are not selfish all they think is about India and its upliftment.Even people back then are very much selfconfident, pride and they never let anyone hurt their pride.. But today India is not like this So much have changed.People are forgetting cultures traditions. We talk about India's traditions values customs etc but frankly speaking they are dwindling my friend everyone knows that.We remember our traditions only at the time of festivals. We talk about fundamental rights but never even consider about fundamental duties. Indians are changing my friend and thats true. That is why I am proud to be an Indian but an Indian of ancient times not of this time.I know one thing for sure all the praise for India's tradition and prestige is because of the ancient times and we are not doing anything to keep it up. I am sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.I want my country to be a leader not a follower. In ancient times India is a leader but later on we got used to follow others. All the principles of India's makers are gone with the wind.this is wat is happening with our country right now.Atleast we as a younger generation should put a stop to it.We should never let our culture drop into abyss. I have said what i wanted to say. This doesn't mean that I don't love my country.I love it very much and of all these happening I am still proud to be an Indian Jaihind

Exactly,, I am totally agree with you and If it will take place more and more in our country, Our culture, traditions, loving/helping nature, will be end. And finally I want to say "when before fifty years ago someone goes to the outside countries, he give our traditions to the people who survive there, and feel proud to be an INdian".... And Now If you go to the other country "can you proud to be an Indian?" "NEHA"

Yes.Though I have some negative points to say, I feel much happy to be an Indian. We are having lot of rights as a citizen that the residents of other countries. We are able to criticize anything and anybody here and most of the countries are not allowing.Still our culture is the main plus among all the nations and even the people of the other countries have started to follow us in many ways. This itself is the main example for the best of our country. If we stay away from the thoughts of our politicians, India is the best among the world.
