Knock knock on your door?

No, I wouldn't shoot someone through the door because it could be a family member or someone I know who needs help. I would ask the person on the other side of the door to identify himself. This person would also be able to hear my dogs barking and, since I live in Florida, would also be aware that I am legally allowed to shoot so I doubt it would be a complete stranger up to no good.

shoot without knowing who it is outside? maybe, what i would do is peep who is there and observe. i wouldn't let him know i am awake, just wait until he identifies himself. for sure, if he is a relative from a far place who comes for a place in the night or a relative on emergency, he would knock at the same time identify himself so that he can be opened and let inside. i will just have to be wary and observant till i am sure he walks away. if not, and if i find him to be suspicious, i will call the police and request them to come over.

First of all if someone is knocking on your door at 2:00am in the morning I doubt they are going to harm you. It would most likely be a neighbor with an emergency or a family member. If it was a criminal they wouldn't be knocking, they would just break right in.

Well 2:00am is too early to knock someone's door. But im not sure to get up and open the door, coz during that time, i love my bed, and i don't bothered to get up and entertain them on that time except if it's emergency or my friends in trouble. I think bulgalers never knock doors, they just sneak into your homes, when you never know.

Hi jen, if somecame came knock knock on my door at 2am I would naturally ignore them as it is particularly rude to vistit at such a ridiculous hour without having at least the courtesy to telephone one in advance. Obviuosly I need not be alarmed that this person is potential burlar as they don't tend to have a reputation for knock knock before breaking and entering.

Why on earth would someone come knocking my door at 2.00 am. Unless there's a real emergency or there's a suspicious person on the door. He/she will stay on the door while I call the police unless he/she can verify as a person I know or mean no harm. He/she can blow the door for all I care, I am not going to open the door. I'll ready to fight back if I have to.
