I have watched this movie. And till now, I cannot really understand what the movie is about. It is not really exciting. Neither is it boring. I really do not know if I would recommend it to you or not.
But here is the plot summary.
Set in a gritty and alternate 1985, where the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown. But when one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered, the last remaining vigilante, Rorschachlaunch an investigationto try and uncover ther reason why the Comedian was murdered.
This reunited some of the heroes, who then set out to prevent their own destruction. But in doing so, they discovered a deeper and far more diabolical conspirarcy to create peace!
In between, there were sub-plots exploring the intricacies of humanity.
But it is all pretty confusing.
I may have to watch it again to give a better review.
But if you have watched it and understand the movie, do share your views!

I think by time u read the comics, u will only get more confused.. lol =D Because movies and comics tend to be different, in order to achieve some effects, to atrract viewers.. hehe ^_^
It will be good if u are able to understand the whole thing, but it can be even more frustrating when things get more complicated than it is at present.. hehe

Well, I will have to get my hands on the comics before I can answer you.
Still searching around for the comics.
I hope what you describe above is not going to be the case when I read the comics.
If it does, then I got more excuses to watch the movie and read the comics again!

I don't tend to watch a lot of new movies, but I'm actually very excited for Watchmen to come out. I bought the graphic novel a little while ago because I'd heard such good things, though I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
The buzz around the movie is amazing. The graphic novel has gone mainstream because of it, prominently featured in book stores like Borders and read by more people than picked up a comic in 20 years. Are you one of them?
And word is also that the movie is finally one which respects the complexity of the novel. With all the layers of meaning and details of the book, as well as some nods to current events. Because the director is a big fan. It's all super promising, and I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I loved this movie it was one of the best super hero movies of all time because it was so unique. What made me love it more then most superhero movies was the music. Which the movie probably would of dragged on a lot if it wasnt for the awesome music which fitted in perfectly in every scene.

Yeah, the music was pretty suiting to the movie. Especially the different scenes that was flashed to tell the history of the Watchmen.
I do not particular like the music on its own. But like you said, it was very nicely used to dictate the story.
Again, on the story of the movie, it will take a little more time to understand the concepts and the plots behind each character.
Maybe you can help me out here. :p

I have not read the comics so it's safe to say that I find the movie a little bit boring. The effects were brilliant, the soundtrack was good, the characters were great but the plot was confusing. I don't really know what it was all about. I guess it was about friendship, love, trust and saving the world. Honestly, I cannot even recall the entire movie except for a few scenes. I guess it's forgettable by me. Peace!

Yeah, you are not the first to tell me the movie is boring.
My wife too shared that same thoughts.
And Me too. Until I watched it a second time.
But I still cannot comprehend the plots in the movie and where the story is going.
I guess this is a movie only fans will enjoy.

Hi ahgong!
I think it's boring, while there is lack of the hero action, and it shows almost political stories
the main stories is one of their superhero member set the stories to make human is living in peace, while it needs their others member lives, including Rorschacs (i'm sorry bout the spelling, it is hard
) one side to make one people as a bad person while the true is not, one said it is made for the good of human peace ... that's what i catch, but the movie is so longgggg ......
that make's boring

ha ha ha ha ha... yes, not being able to understand the story and its plots, the show is a little draggy.
But I was intrigued at its theme of exploring humanity.
How a bunch of costumed vigilantes can see so much potential in humanity, while the rest of the world cannot. Not even the President!
Like I said, this is one of those movies that require watching a few times to understand it better.
Thanks for the honest input!
