The Filipinos are worth dying for, this was the popular quote from the late Sen Ninoy Aquino. That time, people is looking for a hero against the Marcos dictatorship, and they saw in Ninoy when he was assassinated in 1983. After 26 years, there has been a lot of changes and we have experienced different kinds of government administrations. With all that's happening to our country, do you think Filipinos are still worth dying for? If yes, who do you think has the guts to do it? Thanks!

Hi fatherblogger! I still believe so or should I say I must believe so. I don't want to make this responsibility to fall to one person or individual only. I think if we really wanted to make a change, every Filipino should make his own contribution and sacrifice. If we think about it, we have done everything, a people power revolution which have changed our leadership from dictatorship to democracy (for a certain period of time), we have voted for an actor who called himself "makamasa" or for the people, and an economist that we believed will make us move forward. There's only one thing that we could do, maybe we could pray unitedly to God and ask for His divine intervention to rise up a leader who will make the Philippines something to die for. Have a nice day!

Of course I think that Pilipino's are still worth dying for, but not literally, you can kill your own call or desire for others, many Pilipino's still do sacrifice for other and we can percieve it coming back with the advent of noynoy's bet for presidency, there are aspiring candidate for that position which give a way for him, that itself is evidence of that popular saying from ninoy. Sacrificing for the good of majority. I admire Mar roxas for giving up his dreams of becoming a president, so did Kiko, Binay and Fr. Ed. I'm not still sure if Noynoy will live up to expectations, but I believe that when unity came near, so did victory.

Of course, the Filipinos are still worth dying for. I think Mar Roxas can sacrifice things for the sake of the wellness of our country. He already sacrificed his own desire. So, I think he can risk his life too.
