What is Yoville?

Yoville seems to be a big new craze on Facebook! A lot of my friends have recently started adding and playing that application. I'm curious as to what it is. For those of you that play it - can you explain YoVille to me? What is the point? What do you have to do, etc?

Yoville is an online world that you interact with other avatars. You get to decorate your place and live in the world. There are events where you can do auctions and stuff. There isn't really a point but it can be fun to do in free time.

In Yoville, you have to live like a person real life... Just like having your own apartment, buying furniture, eating, visiting friends and working. In real life, you do that right? Well, in Yoville, you also do that.
