The issue of internet addiction has so far not been in the centre of attention of researchers studying the impact of online technologies on children and possible risks of they encountering in the cyberspace. In search for the risk factors, research mostly focused on the characteristics of children's online activities and on the content of computer-mediated communication rather on the potential negative effects of the amount of time spent by children online on their psychological development and social life

There are many different types of people out there in the world and most of them will disguise themselves as someone else, and children do not know this and then sometimes it is too late before they realize what is going on or just happened to him or her. Risk factors that people tend to forget about computers and internet is that it is one of the major causes of obesity. People are not getting up and exercising or playing sports like they use to do in the past. Another risk with internet is a person's social skills, people only talk (type) instead of talking to someone in person, one the phone, or even write a letter. Technology has grown so much lately that now days children and adults do not participate in the activities that they use to.

Mostly the danger of this is the risk of the children being exposed in the p0rnography. I don't know if there's a possible solution for this. What I know, its the responsibilities of the parents to guide them.
