i am raised with a very conservative family. in fact, i started wearing sleeveless when i was on my third year college. i could still see the picture of myself wearing sleeveless shirt for the first time, and i could laugh about it because the color of my upper arm is lighter than my lower arm. i still have no guts in wearing swim wear especially now that i have a bulging tummy from two pregnancies.

lol i have that upper arm tan thing. It's pretty much permanent now. I'm always suprised at how light my skin naturally is. I think it's cool that you feel this way. I feel most people are way too "out in the open" these days. I've seen people riding bikes completely naked at the beach near my school. and don't get me started about the naked elderly people at my local swimming pool. And don't worry i'm sure you look really hot in a swim suit. You have a pretty face anyways :)

I don't think you should worry about what you look like when you wear a bikini. It is your choice! Who cares what anybody else thinks. There is no reason to feel self conscious about looks.
I think that the majority of people you will be with are probably self conscious also about how they look, so don't worry!

thanks for the encouragement. you are right, but i am just too self conscious and have no guts in wearing it. maybe i could wear it if i am just inside our house and only my kids and husband could see.

I used to wear a two-piece bathing suit a long time ago when I was a teenager. I don't have the figure for one any more and I feel like the one-piece bathing suits make you look slimmer. I never did wear a bikini at least. There was a time when I wanted one but my mother wouldn't let me wear anything like that. I'm thankful now that she didn't. Kathy.

I haven't tried to wear bikini also in the beach I'm don't have good figure to show to the public. It is very common among us that we don't usually wear two piece bikini or swim wear in the beach because we are very conservative. Now a days many want to have a beautiful so they can wear bikini in the beach. I can't imagine myself wearing that I'm not confident and no one in our family wears it.

Hi agv0419. Why u think that a figure is to show to the public. Don’t think so. U have god donated figure and be happy with it. I am also a thin guy but I never repent for it. And in case of common subjects. No need to run in the common stream always. Conservation is essential to some extent. But in some conditions u must have to relate yourself with common people.

I don't wear a bikini; I'm extremely self-conscious about my body during these times. I recently gained 20 pounds..So I definitely don't like to wear bikinis. It's unfortunate, though, because so many girls (at least in my culture) wear bikinis to the beach..I get jealous! Wearing a two-piece bikini is deifnitely socially acceptable where I am, and so sometimes it's hard to go against the grain as much as I do. I usually just wear my jeans and a tee or shorts/tank top to the beach, and I usually don't swim. It's unfortunate that we don't feel comfortable wearing bikinis.

hi xannebull! I am very chubby but i dont know where and how i got the guts to wear a tu-tu. I started wearing tu-tus this year and i dont care what the other beach babes think. I guess i must have matured. It is not what you wear... Its the attitude!

Hi xanne! I do wear a two-piece swim wear in the beach but I had to make it sure first that I'd look good on it. I don't mind looking at other people on their bikinis though. But for my case I'd really wanna make it sure first that I don't look too skinny or too fat or too skanky (especially too skanky) in it before wearing it in front of other eyes. :)

never have tried doing that. i am also the conservative type.
in my younger years and when i was still single, i used to wear a one-piece swimsuit when we went swimming in the beach. that was the "farthest" that i went and never tried wearing two-piece swimsuit.
i lose that chance of trying to wear a two-piece swimsuit now.... now with age and having borne 3 children.
