Have you ever met someone who asks you for your honest opinion and then once you give it to them thay get all sensitive or upset . Then why ask for honesty if you can't handle it. I find it so annoying don't you? Have you had anyone get mad at you for being honest?

This has happened to me more times than I care to remember, and is one of my top annoyances. Whenever I've been asked such a question, I've given my honest opinion. The kinds of people that cannot accept it are those that were looking to have their egos stroked to begin with by my opinion, and couldn't handle it after I disagreed with them. They always jumped straight into the defensive, trying to change my views, arguing with me, even calling my opinion WRONG (which is laughable because opinion by nature cannot possibly be wrong). Now, unless I'm asked by somebody who I feel I can be completely honest with, I just tell the person what THEY want to hear rather than what I truly think.

It's better to be honest to them than lie to them. If they can't accept your honest opinion, then they won't be success in life since they can't accept fact.

Many times! I have gotten into the habit of telling people that if they do not want to know what I really think about something, don't ask because I will not lie to make them happy. If my opinion differs from theirs and they don't like it, oh well, each person is entitled to their own opinion.
