As they say, knowledge is a very good asset in life. I am a licensed engineer and I have been working for more than 15 years. However, I would like to go back to college to take a business course if I will be given the chance. I believe that it will help me a lot since business minded people has the bigger tendency to be rich.
How about you? Will you go back to school to finish another course if given a chance?
If yes, what course would it be?
Thanks!

Nope. Im in college right now, wasting my time. I couldnt decide on a degree and the one I ended up choosing is not going to do a thing for me. However I graduate in May and can't wait to get out of here. I loved high school, but I cant stand college. Its not to my lifestyle. I feel useless and want to get out in the real world and get a job. However, if you are smart about the courses you take, college could be a good thing for you. For me, let me outta here! lol

Although everybody is saying it is never too late to learn, in life we are still pulled back by family, child, and mostly by age. If given a chance, I would go for a course in business as well, so that I can be better competent for career. Mere language is not enough. Nowadays, in my mother college, students take biprograms, say, finance, business, media, trade, etc. That opens much more opportunities.

Nope, I already have done two courses Business Administration and Health course. Just like you, I like to have my own business and never ever have to depend being an employee until retirement. It is quite boring being in one places then without using brain and failing to apply skills. It would remain a visionary dreams which is kept untouched until you decided to uses it for your own needs and self fulfillment.

I still want to be back in college, I want to take up AB English or BS Psychology or Business Course. But on Business Course I would like to attend seminars rather that school, because school is more that on theoretical, I want an application of it. I don't want professor to teach me of course they will teach the basic, but I there is no assurance that that is happening in real life because professor are employee too, employee of that school. I want to be learn by the teachings of the mentors , who are already in the area of business. And another reason I want to come back in school, because I love school. I love writing notes, I love classmates, the environment. I love notebooks and books, library. I love all about school and I miss being there.

Heya, Im actually thinking of going to Law school when I graduate this March. Im still not sure. My decision would be based on my grade on a semester Id be taking next subject, which is Mercantile Law. If I do good on that subject, then I will push through with Law School. If not, then Ill start helping out my family in the business.
However, my father has approached me that he would like me to attend school again after I graduate. This time to take Culinary Arts in a new school that his friend is putting up. I dont know the details of it yet. I do agree that this course would help me to help my Mother's business, which is a restaurant. Im still unsure about it. But, when I was able to mention that to an elder cousin of mine and our mutual friend, they said that they would attend with me. They're interested in it as well so we could attend Culinary Arts together.
That kinda is a sign that I should take the course but I really would want to attend Law school. Im thinking of attending them at the same time. But I still havent worked it out. Still have time to decide anyway so..^_^
It is indeed a good asset in life, and knowledge is what most people would want to attain. Education and knowledge is that one thing that you can pass on to your children and that nothing and no one can take that from them.

I think if we can take out time and do other courses then we should do it but there should nor be any negligence to your main work. If we are happy with our work then we should try to do more great things in our work and for that we can search any course. If we are satsfactory with our work and want to do any other thingthen we should always go for other course or anything because we can do anything if it of our own interest. One must do what we like and can do anything we if try to do it rightly. Thank you.

Hi Fatherblogger, I would think that a Master in Applied Finance will be more suitable if you want to get rich.
Business degree is more of business administration, with marketing, human resources modules. I doubt you need to understand how to do lay off workers if you want to get rich.
Master in Applied Finance is more investment focus, and you can gain more insight into the investment world. I bet your bankers and fund managers are more impressed when you talk about velocity of money, WACC, discounted cash flow and whatever financial terms. At least they dare not talk nonsense to you, since they dont know how much you know.

I am 30 years old now and I am thinking of studying again to finish another course in college. I am thinking of studying Physical Education. I am an active woman and I like sports very much so I know I will enjoy while studying it even if I am older than any college students. If I will finish that course, I can teach part time in the university in the future while having fun then have another job in the same time. Cool isn't it?
Life is a continous education

Hello friend. Given another chance to go to college, I would choose to study another foreign language, maybe Japanese, because it is the second widely used foreign language in China besides English, which I majored in at college. I love to study foreign languages as it makes me learn more about the country, the language of which I am learning. What is good to learn Japanese is that there are a lot Japanese enterprises in China, which makes it easier to find a job working for those foreign or joint companies.
But in fact, it is impossible for me to get that chance because I have to work to make my earnings to support my family life.
Anyway, I had my niece study Japanese when she passed the college entrance examination. She had Japanese as her major and she is very good at Japanese, her major, because she can speak the language very well and has got her certificate in Jtest. She got the highest level in the certificate. So I can say that this dream of mine is also realized with the fulfilment of my niece.

If given a chance, like now, i will still not go back to finish another course.. haha =D It's a waste of time for me, and i will rather be exploring my way out in the business world.. After all, it's just another piece of paper or qualification, which only benefits us, if we are gonna be working under somebody..
If not, experience counts for majority of things when it comes to being own boss.. AFterall, u do have 15 years of experience in that line, so why not make full use of it?? hehe
