Favorite Saint.

I chose Bernadette for my confirmation name and have studied St. Bernadette's life and consider her to be my patron saint but I enjoy reading about all the saints. Who is your favorite or patron saint?

when i baptise, i do not realise that we have to choose a saint name as a patron saint, therefore i chose eleanor and there's no saint eleanor!! LOL but i will normally ask for the intercession of St.Michael. in a lot of way, i felt that he has been helping my bf out and protecting him from all evil, so both of us always pray the st.michael's prayer.

Well, you're praying to the most powerful saint of all. He's also the namesake for the Highest Archangel. No wonder he's helping you and your bf. I just think someone should have told you that you yourself don't choose your name at Baptism. It's your Confirmation that you choose a saint's name, unless your given name by your parents is already a Saint's name, but it doesn't have to be your patron saint unless you want it to be. I was just wondering if anyone had a favorite saint from reading of past lives of saints. But thank you for your response.
