I think the icon possibly changes, but I think it is appropriate. When we think of life, we know it has many different aspects or colours. In fact, we often use colours to depict various aspects of life. For instance, we use red for danger and for love. We use blue to depict peace and yellow for sunshine, laughter and fun. Life consists of all these and many more. If life was one single colour - even peaceful blue - it would be rather monotonous. We appreciate the happy times in life more because of the sadder times. The rainbow was originally given as a promise and a sign of hope. There will come times of "rain" in our lives, but we know the sunshine will penetrate and the rain will pass.

sudheervm well to me in myeyes its appropriate in that life is full of colors, the colors of food, of flowers,of people themselves, life is filled with color so yes why not use a rainbow, its a nice idea that life is not just black and white but all the colors of the rainbow.
