I have visited the task tab and I try one of the task I found, I noticed that I need to input my IP address, we know the consequences for giving your IP address to somebody. Do we really need to give our IP address for a certain task?

What consequences? I'd happily give my IP to anyone who wants it as long as that would net me the money, because they wouldn't be able to do anything with it. You don't have ports open unless you open them and of course if you have a vulnerable program to be exploited behind those ports, so, unless you are using a server program with holes or you are sure that you have a trojan in your system, I don't see a reason not to do it.

yes I got a server here running in redhat and running IIS for webserver, that's why I don't want to try giving my IP even if I am behind the firewall.

IP address is used as evidence that we have been working on these task. IP address is onlu for the match with IP address of the recorded data by the task creator. If the IP address that you provide matches the IP address recorded data by the task creator, so you will be paid

My concern is we are prone to attack if we give our IP to them, they can scan immediately for any open port of our machine thru our IP.

yes me too, its not safe to give out ip address thats why even if its an easy task i didnt bother to do it. your computer can easily be hacked by just the ip address alone. so its better to keep it secret. though i guess they need for verification about your registration.
