Do you save you money at home or do you place it in a bank?

I myself feel that keeping money at home is not as secure as placing it in a bank. In the bank you can make money on your money in a saving account. It is more secure that it will not get stolen or burned if you have a house fire. What do you do bank your extra money or keep your money in your home?

Most of my money is in the bank. I only have a small amount of money saved here at home and when I say small, I'm talking under $100. The rest of the money is in my checkings account and then a few hundred is sitting in a high yield savings account.
I realize that saving money at home isn't the wisest idea but I'd prefer to have a small amount of money sitting here at home that's quickly available to me just in case I need a few extra dollars to get through the day. The rest is perfectly ok sitting in my savings account.
