Where could I find one of those? I'm desperate to have one! lol! I know a store named good burger sells hamburgers with veggie meat. It's cool! It stays just like beef, chicken or pork but it's really made out of 100% veggies! Now I've become an endorser lol. My mom finds it hard to buy one since she could not find them in groceries. It's rather rare. Please please oh pretty please if you know something about it please tell me? By the way, What could you say about the veggie meat thingy? Does it sound satisfying to you? :

It is easy to find meat substitutes in my area. I really like the meatless ribs made by Morning Star, except for the high price. I always stock up on them when they are on sale. My brother is a big meat eater and hates the idea of most things that are fake meat. The one thing he loves, though is when I make him mini corn dogs with veggie dogs. It is one thing that even he thinks tastes actually better than the real meat version and it is nice that I can make it and we can both eat it since I do not eat meat. Overall though I do not eat much of meat substitutes because one of the reasons I do not eat meat is that I do not even like it.

They are ribs (type of beef dish) made without meat. They are mostly made of soy protein instead like a lot of meat substitutes are. Even veggie burgers are usually held together with soy protein.

Wow! I wish I were you, then I would not have any problem on my diet :) Meatless ribs? What's that suppose to mean? I've never heard of it yet. Or maybe ate one but never knew what it was called at least. Oh and you have veggie dogs there? cool!

Wow! I wish I could fin one of those here. I'm so busy and my mom doesn't have time either so I find it kinda hard to look for meat substitutes. Plus, everyday I'm not at home so I have to eat my lunch outside, and its hard to find stores with veggie meat or meat alternatives.

i don't know where you live so I'm not certain whether or not you can get them in your supermarkets but try the frozen foods section. I usually buy either Gardenburgers (brand name and made from vegetables) or store bran burgers that are made out of soy protein. You can also buy soy meat crumbles to use in pasta sauce etc. DH and I love them and use it as a meat substitute twice a week.

Unfortunately, I don't live where you're from. I'm from the Philippines and you're from the US so I have to guess that we could not get them easily in ordinary supermarkets I suppose.

How is the veggie meat different from tofu? Isn't it that one? I'm confused.

No, it isn't tofu. Veggie meat looks like real meat except that it's made out of veggies. :)

Yes, sure I will! :) At a store called good burger they sell burgers with veggie meat. If by chance you came to stumble along that food store you might wanna try asking them where they'd get those veggie meats :

I've heard of them but never tried one. I know it's different then soya burgers (thos to me are gross). I know I've put veggies in my meat patties before. Purary the veggies, drain the liquid and added to the meat patties when cooked them. It added some great flavor to them and I've done that a few times but I've never bought them. I saw them once and that was in the health food aisle at the store. Anything that is labled 'healty food' comes at a heavy price here. It is very expensive.

Well healthy is the kick. There is so much bad for you that people want healthy so they up the price on it. Organic foods are more expensive to raise because it gets back to the hands on labor that chemicals do. Meaning we have to work harder to raise something they way it should be. Doesn't make much sense to me, but that's why I think it's more expensive when it comes to buying it in the market.

Anywhere when they label healthy food it really comes in an expensive price. Who doesn't want to be healthy anyway right?

hi resssaaa I see you are in the Philipines and I am here in the US but I do know what you are talking about. we call them veggieburgers here and several different companies make them. we can also get them in packages of ground up crumbles that even look like hamburger. I actually like them and as they are made of soybeans they are very good for you. You can make them into patties that look like hamburgers and with a bit of seasoning they taste really very good.I dont know where you can find these in the Philipines but I think you or your mom could goggle for them and find a place in your home country.Just go to goggle and ask for veggie burgers and they should be able to find them in your country, ask for places in the Philipines that sell these.

Yes, those from the US who have responded to this discussion told me too that they are called veggie burgers there. How I really wish that the supply here is as common as it is there. I mean in most burger stores they sell that so its not hard to find.

Hi resssaaa. I live in India and you can find Veggie meat everywhere here. In our country around 30% of the population. (35 Crores people) are vegetarians ( which is more than the population of USA) and hence vegetarian food are available in abundance. I am a vegeatarian and I never eat Non-vegetarian foods wxcept for Boiled Eggs and that is the diet structure for most of us here. Thanks for starting this discussion and have a great day. Happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)
