BBC NEWS - Taking showers can make you ill??

September 15, 2009 5:25am CST
I was reading the BBC News today and read an article on how taking showers can make you ill. US scientists have shown that dirty shower heads can deliver a face full of harmful bacteria. A third of devices harbour significant levels of a bug that can cause lung disease. They say this is because the majority of the population tend to take more showers and fewer baths. What are we supposed to do not wash?? What do people think about this?

Interesting. How do the bacteria get there in the first place? Is it in our water?? I don't touch the shower head, so it wouldn't come from my hands.

They are obviously not trying to keep you from washing, they just want to find a way to tell you about dirty shower heads. This is more of a warning to keep your shower head clean and take regular showers, if anything. All the bacterial will get washed away if you use a special cleaner on the shower head. It will get washed away for the most part if you take showers regularly and run water over the bacteria often.

We should just take time on cleaning those shower heads. There are lots of antibacterial solutions in the market that can do its job to help us continue our lovely time spent on showers.
