So here it is I have a 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager, It runs good except for the fact that there is something screwy with the alarm system. I bought this van a few months ago and it was fine up until about a month ago when it stated acting wonky I would go to start it and it wouldn't start and the ALARM SET light kept coming on, I would wait a few hours and try again and it would be fine now when I am driving the ALARM SET light is coming on and my spedometer stops working and I can't see how much gas or anything is in it. I have 4 kids so it is a little scary to have this happen and I can't afford to purchase another vehicle at the moment so I was basically just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did you fix it?? any help is greatly appreciated :D

I had a few Voyagers in my day. However none had an alarm on it. But I think it might be the computer inside the van it may need to be reset. Do you have an Autozone there? Some places like that will hook up their diagnostic machine to your vehicle for free to see what the problem is. Also try googling for free mechanical advice as well. I wish you the best of luck and keep me updated.

Thank you for your response :D I have been watching it closer and it seems to be getting better and I have noticed that it only does this now every 3 days it happened to me again today and I unhooked the ground to the battery for 15 minutes and then gave it about an hour then it worked again. I am not sure if there is an Autozone around here or not but I am going to have a look!

It could be the battery itself. I know in my husband's truck from time to time this happens. Does the battery have any rust around it? try some WD40 that may help.
