Pantylines who cares?

I thought I'd ask my fellow Female MyLotters about their feelings on panylines. As my other topic about bra wearing reminded me about something....
At my last job before I became a stay-at-home mom the one lady was given the task one day of hauling us all into the office one by one asking us to watch our pantylines. Apparently I don't know if our Male boss was upset at someone's undies weren't sitting just so or ??? Or were they bunched? Rolled? Or did someone wear a thong & wear them up yanked high over your hips & went above where their pants sat? (there was a WWE gal that was with the Hardyboys who wore them that way, but I can't recall her name). I thought that was the most bizarre thing to lecture all the females about.
Granted some styles may bunch, may roll may just not situate very well at all on different figures. But it's making me wonder if it made him feel uncomfortable? Or was it unprofessional? Or frankly why a married man was looking at someone else other than his wife's bum is beyond me.
And I know in stores if you want to spend the money on those... "barely there" or "no show" but I doubt those would guarantee it for every figure. And your cycle doesn't care if you bought your undies in a multi-pack or paid top dollar.
So really are you concerned if you have a panytline? Do you care if anyone else is looking? & who is looking?

I couldn't care less about what people think about my panty lines. Panties are a fact of life and if you wear tight pants people are going to see the lines. I don't see how people can wear tight clothing anyway, I would think it'd be very uncomfortable.

It depends on how tight if it's uncomfortable,if it's so tight you can't bend normally to do daily tasks then it's a lil much. You are right undies are a part of everyones wardrobe and sometimes they are visable but no need to start at someones bottom. No diff than if your bra strap is peeking out for a moment... one of those "why are you looking?" sort of situations.

That seems like a very, very strange thing for an employer to do. I could see it over exposed bra straps or something like that but pantylines are getting a little too, uh, intimate. It's one of those things that isn't done intentionally, it's just a side effect.
I personally am very conscious of pantylines and prefer to wear a thong under dress pants. I know that's not everyone's preference though. To me pantylines make an outfit look a little bit frumpy and they take away from a more 'polished' office look. But as long as your slacks aren't really tight or made of super thin material then they shouldn't really be visible. Man, he must really have been looking!

I think he must of been either. I know I can say I've had a run in with some pants that didn't get along with my undies and would situate themselves funny, but I'd go to the bathroom that was like 6ft from my lil area and adjust them when needed.
But a bra strap could be a side effect too as I have no shoulders and my straps are always falling no matter the style. I know theres a new lil dealie to hold your straps tight in the back but I wouldn't know how one would be able to adjust it in the center of your back w/o help or get it off for that matter.

That was a weird meeting and really that was a bit inappropriate if you as me. You are right that the cut and style effects how it looks. I dont agree with those thong things riding above the waste line of your pants. That just gives off a different image then you'd want in an office.
I liked your comment about the boss looking at the backsides, geeza stop looking! LOL
Do they bother me? No, I guess we find something that fits us and doesn't ride up in places that it shouldn't and regardless of cost that is what we buy. I'm more for comfort than anything. So no, the lines don't really bother me, but if you can see them - aren't your pants too tight anyway?
