Do you often think you hear noises when listening to songs?

When I was listening to some songs the other day I kept thinking I heard the door bell. In another song late, I thought I hear the telephone! I even thought I heard the noise MSN Messenger makes when someone instant messages you, even though MSN wasn't on! Just to clarify, my songs are proper recordings and not some sort of weird illegal recording someone has done while someone's been ringing their doorbell! Because of this, I keep pausing my songs and suddenly realising that I had been hearing things! I was wondering if anyone else ever has this problem? What sort of sounds do you hear? Do you think it's because the beat in the songs sounds similar or is it due to me worrying I wont hear these things?

even i hear noise or rather some familiar sounds...like the door opening...even if m sitting in an open room...i ld hear the door open or sm1 walking down the stairs or the doorbell ringing...but i sometimes wonder wether that sound was actually used in the music or did it reallt happen!!

Oooh! I've noticed that I only really hear sounds when I'm home alone, so I think it's down to me worrying. Although I have noticed when repeating songs that there are MSN like sounds there!

Lots of times when I am in my car I hear noises when I am listening to the radio that makes me think that my cell phone is ringing. It is just something either in the radio or the music I am listening to that sound like chimes so I am not really sure exactly what is going on auditorily.

I have this too. Usually there is a sound in the song similar to what you hear like a doorbell. Sometimes I even hear words that aren't really said =p like my name. Pretty fun. But the last couple of months I constantly listen to minimal and techno. I don't know if you know there are a lot of crazy sounds in these genres =p Take care
