Well, there are a lot.The first one is China. Though I am in China now, but I have no time or money to travel anywhere. But I will one day. The places that I want to travel most in China are eastern China and southwest China. The second place is the UK, especially England, because I am interested in her culture. The thired places are Japan and Korea, because their traditional cultures are originated from traditional Chinese culture which I am keen on, and I think their traditions are better preserved than traditions in China.

I like Japan very much. I have been there three times, in Kyoto, Tokyo and some small towns around there. I must say that outside of Tokyo I got some stares from younger kids as if tall (I'm only 6 foot) Americans were not that common a sight. There is always a sense of being an outsider in Japan, even if you can speak some of the language. They are a nice people in general, helpful and kind, but it is not always easy to get to know them. Good luck with your plans...I hope that you get to go there to live.

You really need to learn some japanese language. In Tokyo, you'll see signs in english letters but outside of the big cities, it's pretty much japanese (kanji, katakana, hiragana letters). Many japanese are shy and even though they may understand some english, they do not always feel comfortable speaking it. But you can get around Tokyo with English. Younger people will try english more than older people will As for cost of living, in the eighties the US dollar exchange rate was great. Now, it is pretty expensive for us to go there. If you get a job teaching there, then your salary should be enough to get by, at a student frugal level. Good luck.

There are many counties on my travel wish list. The country that I most wish to go to is Peru so I could see Machu Picchu. I would love to go to Cartagena de Indies to see the lovely looking architecture. It would be amazing if I could visit Rio De Janeiro to see the view from Sugar Loaf Mountain. Japan is another country I would enjoy seeing especially around cherry blossom time. Also I would adore it if I could go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines.

hey there. There are so many places I would like to visit in my life time just a shame this life is so short. I lived in Korea for a year and loved it there. The people were so interesting, a culture so completely different to my own. I would love to see more of Asia in the future. Japan is top of that list for me also, so many friends have been there and said it is a must. Good luck I hope you get to live in Japan!

Hey there. I worked in Korea as an English teacher for a year. I lived in a small village on the out skirts of Seoul. I found that the English level of thew younger people in Seoul is good but they are very shy people and have no confidence in their abilities. I can reccommend Korea as a destination to visit!
