Dowry system prevails in most of the communities in India......There are some laws against it.....Even though it continues in the society.......What do you think.........Should this be banned?

i never hear the website before today, but if you said it is against some laws, it should be banned or it should do some change to meke itself meet the request of your country's law. no any website can run beyond the control of laws. it's the bottomline. i'll bet if it does not change it would be closed sooner or later.

Hi, By dowry system, he means that there is an ancient Indian practice of giving the bridegroom wealth/money by the bride's parents. This tradition was just a custom of the bride's parents to show their happiness. Later it began to be strictly enforced, so much that the groom and his parents would beat the bride and sometimes kill her for the sake of money. It is a social evil. This practice has been banned and controlled by the Indian government but it still exists in remote parts of India and to some extent in cities. India is still a mystery, my friend, even to us Indians :)
