My husband along with loud snoring, bites his teeth and the sound will be something like eating a crispy item like pepperment. It is very irritating and disturbing. Throughout the night i am unable to sleep because of this snoring and teeth biting sounds. Is there any remedy for this?

I don't think I should share this, but I grew up with my grandparents so they believe on superstitions so much. They have an explanation that whenever a person is grinding or biting his teeth while sleeping, you should slap his face with a slipper.. LOL..
I don't know until now if that's serious, because they say that it's a sign of bad luck. I don't believe them of course, but I also had this habit when I was a kid, but not now..
And this kind of superstition is the funniest I've ever heard.. But still the best way is to visit the dentist as what others said..

Slapping with a slipper, oh! God! Yes. In olden days people will believe such superstitions and they follow them too. You know, our laundry man was bitten by a dog. instead of rushing to a doctor, he went to his neibour and she beat him with an old slipper in the bitten area.

I'm no doctor so I advice you to tell your husband to seek professional advice from doctor's that can treat those dilemmas of snoring and teeth grinding..
But in my own personal home treatment to this is that you stop or obstruct the passage way from his mouth, temporarily making him breathe out an in trough his nose, making those unearthly sounds gone.. ^_^

My sister used to say, if worms are there in the stomach, we will bite our teeth in the sleep. However you better consult doctor. He is the best person to advise and treat.

He can get a mouth guard from his dentist to deal with that. It sound like he has TMJ which often happens from tooth grinding. It can be very bad for your mouth and jaw so I recommend he see a dentisit and deal with this situation.

What is TMJ? Is it a disease. Anyway I will take him to a dentist.

Yup, I think some of my family member also did this. It's annoying and scary at the same time. Grinding teeth while sleeping can wear out your teeth. I believe you can get a plate from dentist to help reduce the problem or solve it. A plate is something to wear while sleeping. A good plate won't break easily. This way it's safer for your teeth too.

Thanks for your suggestion. Untill I read your response, I don't know that such thing exists on earth. Defenitely I will take him to a dentist and get a plate and solve my problem as well as his teeth.
