I don't reuse things that much. If I bake something using tin foil to cover it, I'll probably save that tin foil for storing that same food in the fridge if there's left overs, but I won't use it on a totally different food or dish.
Once or twice I have reused the plastic ziplock baggies, but I found that doing so created a bad smell, so I stopped doing that.
I spent a few months finding ways to reuse as much as I could, and found that most things are disposable for a reason! They just aren't good enough to use more than once unless it's on the same thing!

hi kylanie no indeed not bad at all. remember hearing of an
old adage during the first depression. use it up,wear it
out, make it do or do without. during that time I was a child
and my parents practiced many saving idea like you just did.'
we were fortunate in that we lived on a farm, grew all our'own food, and so we did never go hungry. also my dad was the only doctor in town, and a lot of people paid in produce as money was
a scarce thing at that time. so now with this new depression we should be more saving.

I reuse everything that can be safely and sensibly reused. I don't even buy garbage bags because the plastic grocery bags from the stores are just as good for someone who lives alone. I've switched mostly to wax paper for covering food dishes, instead of plastic wrap, and it can usually be used in the microwave more than once. Cat litter goes in empty bread bags or whatever bags I have around at the moment. I sometimes do the first part of a kitchen cleanup, using a plastic bag for wiping down crumbs, and reuse paper napkins to clean out greasy pans, instead of wasting paper towels. There are lots of other ways that I reuse stuff, but it would probably turn into a book if I got serious about it.

I had an Aunt that would wash the paper napkins and reuse them...she also did that to paper plates. Part of recycling is reusing things. I do a LOT of reusing and recycling. I save the plastic grocery bags and they are reused to hold cut out teddy bears that are waiting to be sewn together. When the bags get to the point that I can no longer use them for that, I take them in to be recycled. I also buy fake fur coats, leather jackets, ultra suede clothing and more to use in making the teddy bears. My old sheets are used to line real fur teddy bears or are cut up for rags for use around the house. Even tv dinner containers are reused until I go to the recycling center. I use foil until it falls apart.
I did the same thing with some paper towels that my BF had wrapped some dishes in when he was returning them. So, it can't be that bad! I also salvaged a bunch of paper towels from a bin of paper that my homeowners association was going to throw out. (I took the other paper to recycling) I am still using them in the house. When I am done using them, they go into the fireplace so that I can use them to heat the house (that way I don't use up natural gas or electricity).

i find theres things i reuse often and other things i reuse once or twice.
I reuse baggies - for the same foods, plastic cutlery - washed, containers, water bottles, paper towel i will rinse and use for the same wipe job, I use some things for crafts or storage containers.
If it can be reused without ickyness I try to reuse it.
