Well, that makes 3..

Liz told me this morning that Henry Gibson died. He was the fella on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In with the flower and the funny poetry.. That makes 3 now and proves beyond a doubt that indeed this ol' boy is truly getting old. I think I've dealt with that surety rather well. I haven't let the recession of my hairline bother me none. Afterall, I can't sidestep the genetics of it, but I have all but eliminated the emotional stress and slowed the process a bit. Plus those fun gotchas the body puts on you in the joints, the eyesight (I need my glasses anymore to find my glasses!) and the hands cramping on occasion apparently for no better reason than that they had nothing else to do. But when the people you grew up with, and their assorted characters, go off to do their stint in the everafter you can't help but take note of just how close you are to that exit door yourself.. Bon voyage to all three. Pleasant seas and a friendly port when ya get there! ENJOY!

Aging is not for sissys, that's for sure. I can relate to all of those issues. Parts are getting rusty. Lol Our old icons are dropping like flies this year. I surely makes me feel my age every time one passes. Let's hope they will all be there to entertain us when we show up. We will have one heck of a party.

Hi Feathers, I really enjoy your way with words. Your insight is quite interesting as well. I'll be sixty in Jan. 2010. I have a Twin Sister and an older Sister plus 6 brothers. I guess I can say that I am definately the weak link of the bunch. I'm sure the rest of the siblings are just waiting till I keel over but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I think one of the most difficult things I had to adjust to was accepting the fact that most everyone else is still running around as if they are still in their 30's. It is strange to see the actors that we watched growing up, are starting to drop like flies. It does make me feel way more vulnerable. Do you fear that exit door? Welcome to Mylot. I look forward to hearing more from you. Leenie

I can't say that I fear it. In its time it will be the fond and satisfying farewell to what's been thus far. I'll go with all the faith that a friendly port awaits me as well. I'm just not ready for it yet. There are still things that need be done and, I assume, the keeper of that port is not ready for me to take that voyage yet either as here I remain. But tho its not really any closer than it has ever been at any other time in my life its just more apparent now that I will indeed be using it eventually.. ENJOY!
