I wish I never had Emotions

Good day People... There are times that i feel that emotions always get's in the way of doing things that you want the most in your life. when you want to do something, and you can't do it you're frustrated, most specially if it doesn't work out. when you're in an interview and you're about to be called, you get nervous and freak out. when your being scold, accused in such a bad manner, you get upset or mad. and when some one does something bad to you, you get really angry and it takes time to receiver and forgive. I know emotions is part of being Human expression and with out it how can we be considered as one. But sometimes, Am tired of it..I really do. there are times that i felt cold on a hot summer day. i don't need pills when am depressed, i can manage it. just don't want it anymore..Emotions can either cause good or bad impact on people.. Great Day.

When I was a young teenager, my dad has just spanked me and I was so upset and mad that I swore he'd never see me cry again, I'd be just like Spock on Star Trek and keep my emotions under control. But you know what? When you suppress the bad emotions, you also tend to suppress the good ones, and that's no way to live!!!

Very clever response. "When you suppress the bad emotions, you also tend to suppress the good ones, and that's no way to live!" but with less exclamation points.

I was almost like when i was younger. i realized now it was bad because they're are times where i am angry so some little reasons that had me too upset. Well, Mr. Spock is a cool guy, probably when you get upset, you just hold the persons neck and let them sleep

Heh... I know what you mean , sometimes i want to be emotionless too and my guess is thats because we get way too much bad emotions... But hey ... in the end , if we dont feel pain , then how are we supposed to know if were still alive... ? Bad emotions help us grow up , just like wise guidance does , tho trough emotions is the hard way. But just think about it... if you get rid of all emotions , how would you feel... ? Wouldnt it be bad , just for lacking the sense of joy ? Emotions help us feel alive

Hmm I think all people go through that kind of emotion. I think it's just a part of living. It is better to be numb and not feel anything at all. It's like you just drift by through life. That may not be a very nice way to live life but it does protect oneself from all the hurt, pain and other negative feelings that is entailed in living. But, then again, as a person being human, we all have to go through that. It does make us stronger and wiser, dont you think?^_^

Emotions are way too many! Sometimes i use it all at the same time. But because of this thing, we get to be sensitive. To care for others and the way they think. To empathize and sympathize with people's losses. Depression however, is present because of some very deep thinking. So deep that you cannot think of any happy moments at all. You get drowned by the feeling... then came our our friends and family who never fails to comfort us. With the use of tight hugs and warm kisses. Isn't that nice, letran? I bet your girlfriend would love to have these emotions as it makes us human.

Having them with you is nice. If others can't comfort you the way you wanted to be comforted, just think of the ones who care for you and live for them *only if you can not live for yourself*. I think you are a great guy.. So don't waste your time and keep living.

I sometimes sympathize because i was given an impression that it's not that important. well, that's the problem when friends aren't doing their job to comfort some-one that i think they can help you. well, at least i have a few that really knows my pain, i thank them. Have a great day.

emotions are an inextricable part of being human. Deprived of them would be to be a vegetable, a person inanimate. We would all be standardized as useless robot who can only perform tasks. We must not suppress the feelings, but you have to 'appreciate' or better tolive with them. Certainly some of us to feel bad (anxiety, fear, stress, discounts, anger) but even these have an important role. Think about the simple fact of a child who does not feel pain. He despite the fire burning touching, for example, he will never understand the damage that it is doing his, and will lead to repeat it. This does not mean drown himself chebisogna feelings, this is the other opposed to avoid. But a proper balance among these is the correct way forward.

Emotions makes you human. You feel sad, angry, frustrated etc. but these are only negative feelings you do not want to feel. Emotions that makes you strong and unique being a human being. But how about being happy, contented, funny, positive feelings you want to feel over and over again. Just feel free to express your feelings or emotions and be glad that your one of us... Human being!

sometimes i feel that too, and i am the type of person who really gets mad and keep silent for a week or so when i get mad. then she willtalk to me about it so the hurt or the anger that i feel will subside. then i told her that i wish i no longer have emotions but this is what my wife said. if i dont have those negative emotions how can appreciate what a good feeling is happy, and joy and laughter and all this positive things if we dint have emotions. yes the negative things are very painful and depressing but we need all of those to appreciate the positive emotions.

Hey Letran! I can understand how you feel! But, that's just it! You can FEEL! If you couldn't feel then you wouldn't be human! I know that sometimes feelings do get in the way and they aren't always pleasant! But, what if you never were able to experience the feelings of happiness and joy? Then you would really be missing out on alot! So sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad! If you never were able to experience the bad emotions then you would also lose out on the experiences of the good emotions and then you would be devoid of all human emotions and that would really be sad!

You know we almost have the same feelings toward we called emotions. I am really tired of having different emotions to all events in my life. Sometimes i feel like i was tired of everything around me. But this is life.... There are times that i need to cry and unload my feelings for almost two weeks. It's really hard to have a soft feelings and sensitive.. When i got some negative comments from friends "not here" i was depressed all through out the day. This is the moment that i hate to take over me. If we could not have a feelings only....

i agree with you. when emotions takes over as if it controls and brain washes you, and when your done, you felt you were possessed. it seems that when we feel hate and depress, we tend not to appreciate having emotions anymore..but when were happy, it's all different.thanks and have a great day

I have taken pills for depression but it was precription medicine. I don't take them any more, though. I decided the best things for depression are reading your bible, praying, exercise, keeping busy, talking to a friend or family member, helping others, etc. I don't know how we could survive without emotions, myself. Emotions can be positive, too, such as love, happiness, excitement. I'm sure there are other positive emotions but those three are the only ones I can think of right now. Kathy.

hellot cyrus am actually a little bit depressed just a few hours because my brother came to visit together with his kids. then, he started using computer for hours, i just missed mylot immediately that i fell asleep. yes, maybe i shouldn't give up one emotions, it gives positive ones too.

there was a point in my life when i lost interest of everything because i was feeling so depressed. i wished that i will turn into a flower or any object as long as i will not feel anything. a disturb emotion is a very unpleasant feeling. so i always find ways in order for me to cope with this bad emotions by reading the bible or going to church and listen other people's advice.

I agree. I think life would be a lot easier without emotion. But then again I guess emotion has a big part in life? I don't know and I probably never will. I just wish things weren't so hard and emotion didn't effect it so much but there's nothing I or anyone else can do about it. I guess everyone just has to live with it and make the best of it even if it's not something we may want to deal with.

(Can't type much today; left hand tingling after waking up) You're not the only one. After the negativity and bitterness and fights that i've been trhough, verbally and physically (talking to my family's like talking to a stubborn brick wall anyway), i've decided to just become a bit apathetic and stop caring anyway. This is why I try to keep any emotions I feel to myself and bottle them up inside so they don't leak out. I've been bottling up my emotions for yeaes even during my school time in the past, and even during my times in other message boards. Sometimes it's best to take the neutral route.

We are in control of our emotions our emotions don't control us. You can choose to change the way you are feeling in every instance. You can choose to not get angry when you are being scolded...instead you could look at it as a learning experience or a chance to humble yourself....when you are cold put on some warm clothes and enjoy the sunshine anyway....Don't let your emotions control you, take control of them...CHOOSE

Hi Letran! Oh your so emotional today!:) I do sometimes feel the same way. But I always think of other people who are experiencing so much hardships. I always wonder how they cope such situations and still deal with everyday life. It is indeed tiring to be in that same sad spot over and over again. But thats the way life is. Those emotions test us to become a better person. Happy myLotting.

nice response there danity. you're right also, this emotions makes us even better once we faced it with courage. thus, as a result we become more mature than we ought to be more in control in what we feel or express to other people. i appreciate this much. have a great day

Well emotions are not that half bad actually maybe you tend to see the most frustrating things everyday that is why you cannot barely appreciate the goodness of having emotions. How can you show someone your happy if you rid yourself of emotions. It may seem to be a hindrance but it's actually helping you to express yourself. You would surely have heart problems if you cannot express what you feel. Ask Lady Gaga if she rather have that poker face of her than having emotions:)

19 Sep 09
why on earth should bother myself with that Lady Gaga, the discussion here is about emotions not and not some celebrities. well, that's a maybe but not always look into the frustration or negative things, now am practicing on looking on the good or positive side of things
• Philippines

The Lady Gaga part is somewhat to put humor on my post because if it hasn't reached you, "poker face" expresses no emotions and Lady Gaga has a song with that phrase. Maybe you should lighten up a bit, put humor into your life so you could be surrounded with positive emotions rather than negative:) Enjoy!

Emotions can get the best of you sometimes and really stress you out and bring you down. But to be honest without emotions this life would be so meaningless to me. How can you truely understand love or happiness without feeling sadness or hate or stress. The negative to me will always make the possitive possible and great. It will always make things better and me happier. I always know I will be okay at the end of the day with my life because nothing can really happen to me that will keep me down. You can break me but you can't keep me from putting myself back together again.

hey, bstuff. that's the problem to me most of the time, the emotions either get's to me or make me do things bad impression to others, it's like being possesed and then when you settle that's the time i would realize how wrong i was. well, thanks for the encouraging words.
