Recently i was affected with a viral fever, i was asked by the doctor to undergo a precautionary Swine Flu Test and have a N 95 mask with me. though i was suffering from symptoms as Swine Flu I was sure that i wasn't affected with H1N1 virus as i had been taking proper precautions. I was tested negative for the virus. Recently I did a little research on the N 95 masks that i thought was worth sharing: According to a study conducted by University of New South Wales (UNSW), which compared the efficiency of various masks, found that specialised respirators (N95 masks) offer the best protection to health workers. This is the first study to compare the efficiency of various masks, and it revealed that surgical masks offer no protection at all to either influenza or respiratory disease. N95 masks provided 75 percent protection against proven influenza infection and 56 percent protection against proven respiratory viral infections. The findings could revolutionise current medical practice, which relies on surgical masks providing defence against influenza when vaccines aren't available. The results suggest that, although they're more expensive, N95 masks should be the standard protective equipment offered to health workers. hope you found this informative

hmmm I will look around to see if I can get a picture of N95 mask to see how they look like. Over here in my country, when it comes to precautions, security and protection against the swine flu it has gone down to a minimum and it shouldnt be so. We still get swine flu cases, even though it may not be enough for an outbreak but it is and still should be a #1 issue not just for my community but globally. Thank you very much for the information. I hope that this can end real soon.

Thanks for sharing information about N 95 maks. I have seen people wearing masks in railway stations and public buses during the time fo swine flu, but it has come down now. It is scary to get fever at that time. I got a sore throat and I was very worried and wondered whether it will turn out to be siwne flu. I have heard that those masks people used to wear at that time value only 5 to 10 rupees in reality. But, since it was swine flu time and many people wanted masks those maks were selling in steets for around 40 - 50 ruppess and the qulity of maks were not that good. I don't know whether you mean the same mask by N 95.
