I had car trouble on my way home from church a week ago Sunday and I called my nephew to come jump start it for me. He brought me some Green Tea to drink and it was so good. It also helped me to relax during a stressful time. I knew that Green Tea was good for depression, arthritis, and to help you lose weight. Is it also good for stress? I was just glad to get something to drink, anyway, because it was so hot. I have drunk hot Green Tea but the kind he brought me was Lipton Green Tea with a Citrus flavor in a bottle. It turned out that I just had a dead battery, btw, and he went to Walmart and got me a new battery. Of course, I paid for it but he put it in. I had stopped to eat with some friends on my way home from church at a fast food place. When I got ready to come home, my car wouldn't start! I have especially needed the Green Tea since I've had water problems this week! I got some at the grocery store Wednesday Night on my way home from church. Does Green Tea help you to relax in a stressful situation?

I was pretty sure that it helped but at the same time, I wasn't really sure, if that makes sense, lol. I used to drink green tea all the time. For some reason, I quit drinking it. I have to watch my caffeine intake, for one thing. Like I've been telling some of the other mylotters here, I have a list of the benefits from Celstial Teas somewhere but I don't know where it is. Kathy.

I don't think you're stupid at all. We just don't always think about the benefits, that's all. I used to drink iced tea all the time. However, I've quit drinking it and have been drinking kool-aid with my meals instead. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I like teas . All kinds but do get stuck on one sometimes, but mostly I drink iced tea and don't worry about the benefits. Stupid, huh? Esp, when I know teas work. today I think I am coming down with a cold, sore throat, headaches and now I should get out my green tea !! I know green tea helps with immunity and should have been drinking it all along. we are human and stupid sometimes LOL

I am drinking drinking tea even before, my friend. I don't like it's taste. I know that it is good for our health but if that is manufactured process meaning it's not natural and therefor there is some mix of chemical too...I like natural things, my friend. This really help us a lot to relax because were stopping by when drinking, right? That will be the reason, why you said relaxing in a stressful situation...correct me if I'm wrong...have a nice day!

You know, my friend. I'm not disagree with you. But In my opinion, people have different taste in life. perhaps that is good for you but not good for the others. Because there is also says that this tea, is not benefit them well that is why I say that. Intake green tea, is not for all. It depend maybe, with our body acceptance. I'm glad that green tea, is good for you. No doubt that green tea, is really good. But as I said not all people benefit the goodness of green tea... Have a great day! Aerous

It's good that you like natural things. I wasn't really sure if relaxation was one of the benefits of green tea or not. I just know that when I had car trouble the Sunday before last, my nephew brought me some green tea to drink and that helped me to relax. Car trouble can be very stressful. I also have a list of the benefits of green tea somewhere but I couldn't remember what they all were. I'm beginning to think that green tea is good for stress because so many mylotters have said so and it really helped me in this situation. Kathy.

hi kathy. i don't know much about green tea. but i used to drink hot tea when i have upset stomach. that really makes me feel good. we love to have tea in meal time. tea powder mixes are available in the grocery and even in the nearby stores, so it's very convenient to have it. it goes usually mixed, flavored with apple or lemon. and i guess there are a lot more flavors available. this is very common in our place, nowadays. and it's very cheap. a single sachet can make one liter of mixed tea that costs only 10 pesos. that could be 20 to 25 cents per liter of cold, iced, tea mix. neil

Hi neildc! The tea flavored with apple or lemon sounds good. I guess I wouldn't have to add lemon juice with the lemon flavored one, would I? I didn't know that hot tea would help an upset stomach. Maybe I need to try it next time I feel nauseated, as I do have a nervous stomach. As I've told several mylotters, I used to drink green tea once a day all the time. I don't remember now why it was I quit. I plan to start back, though. It really has helped me out since I've been under a lot of stress here lately. Kathy.

Yes, it was sweet of him to do this. He can be sweet when he wants to, lol! He can be pretty bossy sometimes, too, lol. I probably shouldn't say these things about him. I know he doesn't mean to be bossy. He's a lot like his mother for one thing. He has been good to help me out a lot here lately. It's just that he, his brothers, and I pretty much grew up together and they were more like brothers to me than nephews, which means we fussed and fought quite a bit, too, lol. They lived next door to us and we played together a lot when we were kids. They used to walk over here all the time. I used to walk to their house a lot, too. You see, he's only four years younger than I am. My brother, who is his daddy, married the first time when he was 18, which was the year I was born. My nephew is very thoughtful, though, more so than his brothers are, although they are sweet in their own way. I used to drink iced tea with my meals all the time. I've quit drinking it and have started drinking kool-aid instead. Kathy.

I'm beginning to believe that is good for stress because I've been under quite a bit here lately and the green tea sure has helped. It really didn't take that much time for me to acquire a taste for it. I guess the reason why is because I used to drink Chamomile Tea at night a lot to help me sleep better. How do you make green tea in the sun, btw? I don't think I've ever drunk tea like this. Kathy.

The green is only been in my listening and not had a chance to drink it.I remember when my friends talked of this in their hostel rooms of them been supplied with green tea ,they as their throat becomes some what chilled like and a kind of herb feel engulfs them. I won't say green tea is unlucky as it happened in your case,

Hi tintukm! I have a list of the benefits somewhere in my bedroom but I don't know where it is. It's probably stashed away in one of my drawers in here. I ordered it from Celestial Teas one time. It sounds like from what you've said here that it might be good for you when you're sick, like when you have a sore throat. The hot tea is probably good for this, anyway. My nephew brought me the cold tea. My throat gets dry a lot because I have a lot of allergies. I also have sjogren's syndrome. This is where your glands get dried out. I wonder if green tea would help this. Kathy.

Green Tea is good to drink. It is calming and can help you relax, so Yes, it is good for stressful situations for sure. I have not tried my Green Tea with citrus flavor yet that I bought, and really need too. For me green tea is a great relaxation drink for sure, and one I think as people catch on will become a great thing easier to find more places for sure.

No, I can't say that tea helps me relaxing in stressful situations at all. I think it's a myth or then again it only works with people with too simple of a mind. Definitly need something stronger to help me through a stressful scenario.

What makes you think it only works with people with too simple of a mind? It has really helped me and my nephew is very smart. Sometimes he acts like he thinks he's smarter than I am, ROFL, though. You must be very stressed out most of the time if you need something stronger! Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Kathy.

Well, it looks like your car trouble has helped you find a product that helps you to be more relaxed. I have drunk green tea on a few occasions but prefer black tea, and I drink a lot of it. I read the other day that both sorts, (black and green) is good for you, so perhaps my black-tea drinking is helping me relax too.. But I think it's probably more to do with the fact that I meditate every day - it's my first activity of the day. - Derek

Hi derek_a! I'm beginning to believe that green tea is good for stress. Sometimes when something bad happens good comes out of it. It may not seem that way at first but when you think about it, it does. I hope that makes sense. There is also a lot of power in prayer. I don't think I've ever drunk black tea. I've seen it at the grocery store many times, though. I might want to try it sometime. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I need to lose some weight, too. I'm not gobby fat, though. I just want to get back down to what I'm supposed to weigh. I used to drink green tea all the time but I got out of the habit for some reason. I've been trying to cut back on my caffeine intake for one thing. It seemed to help me in a stressful situation and I was just wondering if that's one of its benefits. Kathy.

Well, I have never noticed that it helps me destress when I drink it. But glad it worked that way for you. I have been drinking green tea for years. I even put half regular and half green when making big batches of iced tea when I am having company. Many people say they can't stand the taste of green tea (or tastelessness?), but no one ever notices when I make the half and half. I figure we all get the great health benefits that way. I actually enjoy it! Glad we have another green tea drinker in the world! :-)

I drink green tea and i am always trying to remember to make a flask of green tea and sip it all day. It also helps to prevent cancer as it is full of antioxidants. It really is beneficial so drink it every day if possible. and yes, it certainly does help in trying to cope with a stressful situation.

I believe so, too. It really helped me to feel more relaxed when I had car trouble. I also needed it earlier last week when I had that rouble with my water heater. I got the valve replaced on the timer on my water heater and everything is back to normal now. I just dread to get the bill!I have a list of the benefits of green tea in one of my drawers in my bedroom. I just don't know where it is exactly and I've forgotten what all the benefits are. Green tea is so good for you. Green and black teas have 10 times the amount of antioxidants. It also speeds up the metabolism and promote energy expenditure. It does take a bit of getting used to. It's better to make you own then you don't get those other chemicals in the bottled stuff.

HI ya Kathy: I've never liked any kind of Tea to drink I wish I did and I wish I liked drinking Green Tea LORD KNOWS I COULD USE IT..(G)! I have however taken Green tea in pill forms in several different pills, I just don't care for any kind of Tea or coffee. I'm a bonified Dew-a-holic ..aka (Mountain Dew) that's my caffeine but I need to hang it up for good... I'm slowly trying to get off of it I am drinking less per day but I have to give it up completely; for many many many many years since its debut I drank the good stuff the regular Mountain Dew, but the last 3-4 years since becoming diabetic I had to switch to the diet stuff ( which is horrible tasting) even to this day but MY MIND, SAYS YA GOTTA HAVE IT....I think its been harder on me weight wise than the good stuff ya know?
