Time and tide wait for none.I think this saying is apt as we ought to do work or whatever is alloted to us at the correct moment. There is a time for play, pleasure, education, work and relaxation. If the moment passes its unlikely that it will come back.Another saying which can be quoted in this context is strike while the iron is hot.

does it involve on waiting for someone or something that you want to have in the mere future? or is it related to something that could happen in the future? does that phrase makes sense? but why wait for something? :)

By wait the saying doesn't mean you have to wait for someone or wait for something to happen. It means if you don't do what you ought to do in the present moment that chance will go a begging and you cannot get back that moment.

Yes,it is absolutety right. That's why i think we should not waste time,we should do our work in time and we should enjoy our life before it is too late.

It makes no difference what you are doing with your time, and time is all you've got, procrastinating, working, sleeping, the hands of the clock never stop turning. The original of that aphorism referred to the notion that once an opportunity was missed, it was gone and wouldn't likely come back around again.

Time does not wait for anyone. There is nothing we can do to halt time or to advance time. Time will continue to go at its scheduled pace - not faster, not slower and never stopping. Queen Elizabeth I of England's last words were "My kingdom for a moment of time" - but no one could grant the Queen's request. No one could give her an extra moment of time. When her time was finished, it was finished. The only time I am guaranteed is the present - this very second. For all I know, my time could end before I post this reply. My motto: So live, that when you come to die, you have nothing left to do, but die.

In my opinion this phrase it`s telling me that i`m already 21 years old and i`m not having an income and i`m not having nothing that it`s mine, buyed by myself . I`m still living with my parents, and they are still giving me money for college and for pocket . That isn`t right . My life passes and i`m getting older , and i din`t managed to get a good job, and to live my life . Time will not stand by for me to finish college .

time waits for no one this is 100 right and oppurtunity knocks only once at your door. if you dont respect time then you are going to repent about the miss poourtinity. Let me give you an example. Say you are a medical student and you do not learn enough when it is time to learn ie in the college and somehow lets say you pass too and get a doctors degree but the time has gone to learn and now you have to treat patients and since you didnt learn when it was time now you can not treat them and there is no patients on which you can learn because those patients you can only get in medical college on which you can learn. So one should always make best use of the time.

Time flows and we are asked to walk with time if ever we want to keep in touch with everything happening in this world around us. So that's why we say that time waits for no one and we have to sometimes stop to smell the roses before the roses are dried up, so we have to seize every moments as it comes and appreciate it too.
