No Rice plus Veggies

I'm not into dieting or exercising. But I'm too big already. My friend has started a no-rice diet, just for the main reason that if she eats rice, she tends to over-eat. In my case, I can't completely give up rice yet, so what I'm doing is I don't eat rice in the morning (I work night shift). I'm usually STARVING when I get home, so I tend to eat a LOT when I get home, and then I'll be sleeping 2-3 hours later. What I do now, I eat a sandwich. Either Egg or Tuna sandwich, and I put a generous amount of lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes in and then toast it. I use whole wheat bread as well. Afterwards, I drink some hot tea to wash it down. For Dinner... since that's my real breakfast, I still eat rice, but minimize it to 1 cup. I can't really skip this or not eat enough, since I have ulcer (not from skipping meals, but from stress) so I can't really stuff myself or starve myself. I eat tiny snacks every 2 hours or so just so I don't feel hungry. I can't remove coffee yet in my work hours because of the nature of my job. I'm trying to change my meals one at a time, so once I'm used to no-rice-breakfast, what would be the next thing to change?

I think what you're currently doing will have a significant result in time. I don't actually agree with what your friend is doing, totally skipping rice, because it can cause more harm especially if you are already accustomed to eating it. The proper way is to just limit your intake. Skipping an entire meal is not a good thing also because your body will sense that you are deprived of food so it will store more fat for future use because it's worried that you might not be able to eat anymore. Indulging yourself with vegetables is also great because you are cleaning your system which will let you get rid of unhealthy pounds. Drinking hot drinks will also help and you will feel it in your stomach because hot drinks melt fats in your stomach..You will eventually feel your stomach sweating as you drink a couple of cups, but not too much coffee, try hot milk or even water. Drinking cold drinks would increase fat storage and may clog your intestines and veins. From what I see, you can just stay with your current diet and not proceed to removing rice anymore. Just add some more activities like walking and stretching to go with your food diet. Even simple tasks like tucking your stomach while sitting in front of the TV or the computer will help exercise your stomach muscles and reduce its size..Good luck!

I've tried the same diet as what you're in now... after trying some bread, I tried the fruitarian diet... It worked!

I'll incorporate regular intake of fruits one day. Right now, I don't think I can handle it yet. I don't really like a lot of fruits and I'm lazy to always go out and buy some every day.

Please take a look on the count of calories. If you can make it and balance the calories, then the body can maintain its balanced weight neither less or high.
