He not only belittled the boxing skills and capabilities of Manny Pacquiao... but he as far as saying infront of a live audience that the reason why Manny is will all his fights... is because he is using steroids...
"I believe he's (Pacquiao) on some type of supplements. That's what they're doing right now. Everybody should be checked a little bit more thoroughly. Sometimes people know what's going on but they ain't saying nothing," said Floyd Sr.
Mayweather Sr. continued, "I don't think he can beat Lil' Floyd with steroids in him or not."
"He don't have that kind of talent. He don't have that kind of skill, whatever he has in him."
"I think they're pushing Pacquiao a little too much, even if he's got 'roids in his body. The steroids aren't going to make him no faster. It's going to make him relentless and hit strong, but that's it. It ain't going to put no knowledge in your head."
Is this person even for real... or he just hasn't accepted the fact that Pacquiao defeated Hatton in less than 3 minutes in the ring... and that the reason for Hattons lost is that Mayweather Sr. is such a crappy trainor who can't even tell time... that is why he was always late every training day...

Hi aseretdd, I am totally not a sport-minded person. And barely enjoys listening to any sports news. But Manny Pacquiao's career was definitely not a boring one to follow. And I never in my whole life get it on what's so amusing to watch two boxers fight on the ring. But the pacquiao-hatton fight was definitely something not worth missing. I guess they're just envy at how good pacquiao's career is going.lol

Well, all great fighters experience this sort of black propaganda... but such could actually tarnish the good reputation of an athlete like Pacquiao... Mayweather Sr. should just keep his mouth shut... or else it might cause more harm to him and his son...
Thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here...

I read somewhere that whoever wins the Mayweather - Marquez fight will be the next opponent of Pacquiao after his fight with Cotto... well the tale of the tape says Mayweather is the one likely to win... but a lot of people are rooting for Marquez because he is the humble underdog in this fight...

I appreciate the warm welcome.. hehe Anyway, I never really liked both mayweather sr. and mayweather jr. I don't know why but whenever I see them on tv their aura is just different, it's really annoying. lol I find them too boastful on just about anything that is related to their freaking family. Yah yah.. we know already that your a family of boxers, but that doesn't mean you're the best.
By the way, pardon my ignorance, why didn't paquiao -mayweather fight came to reality. I heard before that they were talking about arranging that fight?

He just want to media hype the possible fight of his son Floyd Mayweather Jr against Manny Pacquiao. I think he just wants Manny Pacquiao to look forward in fighting the young Mayweather Psyching up Manny Pacquiao i love it.

Well, if media hype is what he wanted... then he surely got that... but n a negative way in his case because a lot of people... even the World Boxing Association thinks Mayweather Sr. is hitting below the belt with this steroid issue... and i really hope Manny Pacquiao sues him...

I don't think that qualifies as freedom of speech... because acussing someone of something that could ruin his career is hardly an opinion... i don't know what your definition of Freedom of Speech is... but what Mayweather Sr's words does not qualify as one... i don't hate him... i know he was once a great boxer... but i surely don't respect him anymore...
Thanks for the response...

He's too confident for Hatton, then didn't thought the fight will end that way. He's all talk, I'm no Pacman fan but I hate that Mayweather Sr. hahah ^_~

Well sourgraping is for sure... but his statements are so uncalled for... there are better ways to creat media hype... one that wouldn't tarnish the good image of a certain athlete... i am so sure he will react badly if someone accuses Floyd Jr. of being under the influence...

hello aseretdd,
I don't know about manny since he hasn't been focus on his training with cotto. and it's no joke when it comes to fighting cotto i have seen his last fight with a bigger guy and that big muscled guy still lost the fight by decision. manny is rich now and even planning to run for politics, i believed that whether win or loose, it won't affect since he's been called the pound for pound king.

It is a wonder for me why he decided to train here in the Philippines because there are a lot of distractions... but also nice since people in Baguio are enjoying his presence... especially the cadet of the PMA... well... i just hope he wins this fight...
Thanks for the response...

There is only one thing which prompted Mayweather Sr to have said those words, it was ENVY. People who cannot contain that feeling will do everything to ruin the other person. Since Manny Pacquiao is the number one these days, what he does is to ruin his reputation. And that was the biggest mistake he has ever done. All those things that he had said was renounced by someone from WBA. He is such a loser.

Yes, i guess he is envious that he doesn't have a fighter like Manny Pacquiao to train... and what eats him most is the Roach (his all time enemy) is partly responsible for the success of Manny... Mayweather Sr. is such a loser and i hope Manny will sue him for millions of dollars... that might shut him up...
Thanks for the response...
