sleep reduced or not if you had tea

people drink tea a lot during exams,meeting and during late hours of work. Is it true that it relives stress and reduces sleeps. Also does it really make your brain alert.what are your experiences of drinking tea

Well I feel it is Psychological feeling of person, tea never kept me awake and I never use to drink this tea during my exams time. During winter to keep the body warm I do drink it. But in summer, I like to run away from tea. Whatever, what I feel is that people have psychological feeling that tea will reduce sleep and alert their brain. What exactly happens that while drinking tea one will come out of the sleep mode and this happens because on will atleast go to either order tea or make it.. So, in this way one will come out of sleeping mode..

I too think it may be due to psychological feeling that we drink tea to be awake. But in really i could never stop my sleep during exams by drinking tea. Ya i agree it is a refreasher that can help you come out from a very hectic days work. Anyway its good to drink it once as it is proved by researchers.What do you say???

Well I drink only once in a day, I do not find that much refreshing after drinking tea. I do find refereshing after drinking cofee but not tea. But whatever I drink, I will be in drinking only maximum one's or twice in a day not more than that..

tea do not have any effect on me .... as far as i have felt.... but some people tell me that tea helps them in staying awake ....

Have you tried drinking tea when you are tied and need a nap. I experienced that it refreashes your senses. I too never could stop my sleep by drinking tea.

Tea is good for health (of course Raw-Tea)! Its effect and central roll is to stimulate our nerve system for activity. For this, tea is taken as a light stimulant! This stimulation makes our brain alert by reducing stress and laziness to some extent, so far I have experienced! Thanks and take tea for a smart action!

Sleep gets reduced with tea thats why we have it during exams to get out of sleepiness.
