I am in holiday mood again. I wish I can back to my hometown soon. Another 2 more months ,I will be back to my hometown again. I back to my hometown every once a year with my son and my husband. We take plane from my husband hometown and need to transit at Kuala Lumpur, before taking the next flight back to Indonesia. Both me and my husband always plan our holiday in ahead. We don't like to have a last minutes holiday trip. We usually make a ticket booking half a year earlier. We always checked for airfares promotion especially from AirAsia. Whenever we received an email about cheap ticket fares, we quickly plan our holiday trip and make a booking for our trip. How about you guys, always plan your holiday in ahead or decide it last minutes??

Hello shia, Another nice discussion you have there! For me I always think that planing ahead for a holiday is better than last minute planing. Have you heard of early birds catch the worms? I like to travel by Airasia too. The air fares are cheaper and the service is not bad too. I book Airasia tickets online at least a few months ahead. Normally booking air tickets in advance is much more cheaper than you book the ticket where it is close to your departure date. Share something with you here. Because of the H1N1 pandemic, many of my friends has cancel their trip and booking to fly abroad which they have made and paid everything included air ticket, hotels room and some amusement park entrance tickets. This is a bad news for some one who plan the trip ahead?

Hi Vingyan, I always on Airasia when I am tarvelling. I prefer to go for budget airline since they offered cheaper rates than other airlines. Once I received an email from Airasia about their promotions, I will stay late that night and wanna catch up the best rates they offered and I will my booking once confirmed with my husband. There is once where I wasted all my airtickets with Airasia. It was in year 2006 whereby I plan to go back to Indonesia in Dec for a holiday. Then I got to know that I was pregnant in May 2006,I felt so sad that my holiday is GONE,lucky I was getting the Zero Fare promotion for my air tickets. My gynae still allow me for travelling ,but then my parents and my in-laws did not allow me for travelling. It was not concern about going back to my hometown,But it was concern about I was not able to attend my brother's wedding too. Therefore, can get cheap tickets ahead, but sometimes have to encounter bad news when something pop up.

Hello Shia, Yeah Air Asia now is the famous Budget Airlines in our country. Now Air Asia even fly far to Manchester, many province in China, Indonesia, Australia and I think Europe too? May I ask you how to get the email alert from Air Asia regarding the promotion fares? I don't get any emails at all. I normally get to know its promotion from newspaper. For pregnant lady, if you don't have any health problems, you still can fly until the last trimester of your pregnancy. Maybe you parents and your parents in law are just worry about you.

Hello shia. We are soon to have our long National Day. We will have eight days for the holiday. I am now planning to go back to my hometown for the holiday. Yesterday afternoon I went to book a train ticket at the ticket office, but what made me upset is that there was no ticket available for me. It is so disappointing to me. The ticket seller asked me to go and check the next day to see if there was someone who would refund the ticket he has. So I will have to go and check again this afternoon to see my luck. I love to plan my holidays in advance.

Yeah, there are some other ways that I can take--by taking a flight, but it is too expensive. I will try to get another kind of train ticket back home, bullet train, but it is not a direct train. I will have to transfer from Nanchang to my hometown. Troublesome it is, I will have to take this way of transport back home for the holiday. Thank you for the response, friend.

HI William, So sad to hear this bad news from you. Is train the only mode of transport to your hometown? Can it be reached by plane or car or bus? I always take plane back to my hometown and I book my ticket very early, grabbed the best promotion from airline.I even managed to get the zero fare ticket for this coming December trip. I only need to pay for airport tax and some surcharges. I do hope you can get the train ticket back to your hometown and have a reunion dinner with your family. Good luck!! Enjoy your holiday!

Hi William, Glad to know that you are back to your hometown soon. Although it is more troublesome if you were to take bullet train back to your hometown, but at least you are back to see your families and it is worthy. Wish you have a pleasant journey and enjoy your holiday

Dear Shia, You are from Indonesia? Which part of Indonesia are you from? I only been to Batam Island and Bintan Island. Both also occupied by majority Singaporean businesses. I normally plan my holiday 2 months ahead. There are some that we did last minute due to some events to attend. For example in September 2006, we won a trip to Hong Kong. We are notified in less than a week from the date we need to fly to Hong Kong for a moive premier. That was rush, however it is fun too

Hi James, Congratulation to you for winning the trip to Hongkong for movie premier. I am curious to know more on how you get this holiday trip? From any contest?? Yes, I am from Indonesia. Exactly is from Medan,North sumatera island.Ever been there before? Let's me make a simple introduction of Medan ( my hometown). Medan is the third largest city in Indonesia. Most of the chinese people staying there are speaking Hokkien language(mother tongue).A few tourist attraction : berastagi, parapat(samosir Island),bukit lawang,Hillpark, pantai cermin. I been to Batam once, very long time ago(when I was dating). But i never been to Bintan. Is Bintan island a nice place to visit?
