Why Suicide from Love Quarrel?

I was in the mall yesterday with my kid. While I was talking to an old friend, we suddenly heard a bang. The people were shouting and I thought there was a bomb or robbery. The people were rushing near the center where there is a wide space for viewing the other floors of the building. When we went to see what happened, there was a boy in school uniform, in college I guess that jumped from the 4th floor and landed with his head on the basement. We were in shocked and so sorry to see someone shedding blood. I went away from the crowd to prevent my kid from seeing it. We found out that the boy had a quarrel with his girlfriend on the 4th floor before he jumped. I just can't accept people taking their life for small reasons. I felt sorry that some don't see the real importance of life, to be happy to serve and love and don't ask for anything in return. Happiness can come in other ways. What's your view about this?

My goodness! That is such a waste of life. I also know someone who took his own life also over a spat with his girlfriend. So sad because this fellow had so much going for him. He just graduated from a reputable school and with a fellowship grand awaiting him in another country when he chose to throw everything away (including his life)just because he could not get over the break up. I am a Christian and I believe that anyone who takes his own life, for whatever reason, is guilty of a grave sin, tantamount to murder. No one has the right to take anyone's life, his own included.

sorry to hear about your loss. i believe you can get over it as time goes by. always pray for strength and the courage to move on. we are all just visitors in this world so we must live a life with honor and serving God.

Oh My God. Over an argument. That is insane. You get over the argument and move on. I'm sure the girlfriend saw this. It's a good thing that you removed your child from the area. I would've done the same. I don't understand why people don't value life.

You're right. Teens should be watched. They are very emotional being and need guidance.

Wow!! Sometimes it just amazes me when people choose to take their own life over something like this. This is unreal, and to think he did it in a Mall where many could see it. It only shows how important it is to teach your kids the importance of being able to work thru things and to get thru them no matter what happens. He had his whole life ahead of him and he wasted it over something like this. It is time to Pray for more people to understand that life is truly worth living no matter what comes their way.
