I am going to buy a laptop. But I dont have an idea that which brand is better. I am thinking of HP, Sony and Mac. I wanna buy Sony most. Cuz it is really beautiful. Mac is good but I think it is too expensive for me. I know HP is good. But I think it is not beautiful at all. Which one you guys think is better? Help me to make the decision~~!

Dear Chelsea, Wow, you gonna get a new laptop! That is wonderful HP quality is good but as you said it is not stylish. Mac is very trendy and have very good features, so is the price..LOL. I would suggest that you should put your focus on actually what you need or your priority. Look around which suits you the most and go for it! I have not really look into Sony yet, but I believe you have checked around and had your desire decided. All the ebst and remember to visit my blog with your new laptop. All the best and have a great weekend :)

Since many has encountered problem with HP, then HP should be out from the list. So, it seems you have to look at Dell too... after reading those responses from other myLotters, you have to rewrite your list or 'mind map' for an easy reference and decision making. All the best, hope you will have a good 'leading' factor...

Hi there chelseaalawn, I have an acer lap top, and it has served me well for the past two years. Mac is expensive, but I can say it is the best in its class. You are not going to buy a lap top everyday, and it is a once in a life time purchase. So go for the best. Go for the Mac.

I understand what you mean. Maybe I really should think about MAC. Thanks for your suggestion~

I have to agree with James, some other Hp users also informed me about the problems they are facing with the HP laptop. What I have heard is, that HP, never change their laptops, even when the user is having a serious problem. Once you buy a HP lap top, you are doomed for life.

If you took the three manfactures laptops apart you would find a lot of them contain parts made by the same company. I tell my clients to go to a store and touch, yes touch the laptop they might purchase. Open a word processor and type for a while. How do your wrists feel? Will you be carrying the laptop around? If so how heavy is the laptop? How big is the screen? Mine is 15.4" becuase I cannot work for long periods of time on anything smaller. Shop price. All Amercian stores have the weekly flyers online. Budget and be patient.

Hi Chlseaalawn! For me, I would go for the best bang for the buck. I'm not very particular about size, weight and looks but would focus more on performance such as it should be at least 2 Ghz processor, 4GB Ram and at least 300 GB of storage. I have no brand preference as well so a good review will definitely have an influence in me. So before I buy a laptop, I usually search the net for good reviews.

Well, if Mac is really what you want, there are MAC models that are cheap and comparable in terms of price and specs to windows-based laptops. Even Mac is using Intel processors/chip set and is capable of dual boot with windows operating system.

I'll reccomend Sony. The model of choice should be Vaio. I've heard wonders about that laptop and seen it around the market for quite expensive prices. So if you have the kind of money for it, go ahead, you won't regret it - trust me )

I am using Compaq right now. It's ok but not excellent. I would recommend you Sony Vaio, since many of my friends who're using it have no problem until now. Mac's also good, but I'm not very familiar with the application. I don't know if you have this brand, Lenovo, in your country? The model is kinda old style, but I give two thumbs up for the resistence. Happy mylotting to you :)

Hello I have the "macbook" and its great, we have no problems, my brother has 1 as well, its not heavy, virus free so no antivirus software needed, it is a little pricey but its worth it they also have this photo-booth software that is really cool, I didn't know we had it until I was using my bothers and saw all the cool pics, he said you have this as well, so now my grandson takes all kinds of pics, not saying this is a good selling feature for a laptop just something cool if you like to take pics, good luck I am sure you will make the right choice. Thank you, good luck.

hi... chelseaalawn... There are lots of computer manufacturers around the world, among them only few produce the quality and reliable products. I'll just list out some of company's laptop and describe it... Sony - Good name in the market, looks fine, little bit costly Lenovo - Looks compact, light weight and of reasonable cost Dell - Fine market value, looks beautiful, available in many colors, acceptable rate HP - As you said it won't be looking nice n heavy, but best one to use and reliable, but little bit costly. Mac - Already you know And I suggest Dell or Sony vaio to be a best.....

Which do you want to buy? Beautiful or useful? With me, I like to use the light and tidy and easy to use. There are too much kind for you to choose. You don't only base on the trade-mark to buy. You should found on the tools which you want to have on your business, education. Now I'm using Toshiba's one. Although it's old, but it still have useful for me.

I used to always buy Dell but last winter my husband got a Toshiba and I love it so much that I have stolen it from him. I do a lot of numeric data entry and the keyboard has a 10-key pad to the right and my Dell doesn't. It also seems to load up faster but, of course, that's not really anything to do with brand.
