When our family goes to chinese type buffet the favorite food is this kind of meat on a stick. To me tastes like chicken or pork with either teriaki or sweet sour on it or both. Has alittle red tint to it. I would love to know how to make this at home all the kids love it! If you know wht it is how to make it please feel free to message me a link to a recipe :)

I know that red sauce you mean - and I can't remember what it's called just now. We used to be able to get it when we lived in New Hampshire (US), but down here in Atlanta, I just can't find it. If your store has it, it would be either in with the Chinese type foods or with the sauces. It's as red as it looks on the meat - OH! I think it was called "Ah-so" sauce! I just remembered. We used to cook spare ribs with it - in the oven - they were tender and D-licious!!

The satay sticks in Singapore and Malaysia are even better. It is a meat stick with (raw) onion and cucumber, and dip into a thick sauce. I dont know the ingredients of the sauce, except that peanuts is used in the preparation of the sauce.
