well..my first question is, are the pimples occuring in an area that he is getting shaved when he is at the barbers? If so, my guess would be that these pimple are actually ingrown hairs or razor bumps. After the barber shaves the hairs, when they start to grow back they get caught up under the skin and cause an inflamatory response. If this is the case, he should ask the barber to use a warm, moist comparess to cleanse the area and soften the hairs before he cuts them, and mybe to try using an electric razor instead of a razor blade...and the electric razor doens't cut as close to the skin and lessns the occurance of hairs getting trapped underneath the skin when they start to grow back. the draw back to this is that the shave or trimwon't feel as close, and might require maintainence more often. Another thing to help prevent this from happening is to use an exfoliating scrub. Exfoliating with a scrub containing salicylic acid (common in many anti-acne medications) is your best defense against ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Gentle cleansing and keeping the skin smooth and supple works well to keep the hair follicles moisturized and growing in the right direction. Hope this helps!

my daughter has pimples on her back (but not so much on her face as happening in the past. a friend advised us to buy tea tree oil soap in a specialty body shop products store. the pimples now start to wither and not a new one is showing. the product is costly though but it has proven to be very effective ever with just 3 days of using it.
