Children on facebook getting added by adults

I am friends with several young people on facebook. Mostly, they're my activist friends. We know each other from reality and from doing disability rights activism. I'm also good friends with my two friends daughter. I know her in real life too even though I haven't seen her since she was six. The kind of person you are talking about is not your typical adult who's friend with a kid on facebook. He sounds like one of those creepy internet dudes who just might be targeting young people for god knows what.

That is very disturbing. Add to the fact that many children will add strangers to facebook just to be better in some facebook games such as Mafiawars. Some monitor is required for such scenarios.

That is crazy, why does a grown adult want to talk to kids? Its only for something bad I'm sure. I'm glad you got them all to delete him. There are so many sick people in this world that will do anything to get too our precious children and we need more parents like you to keep a closer eye on what a child is doing on the computer. I would not let my child chat online at all. It would only be used for school work, playing games or emailing friends that is it. The world is too scary with the pedophiles that are living in everyone's neigborhoods. They will do anything they can to get too our children.

kids need to be very wary on sites like this,if they're family it's ok,but why would an adult stranger want to be friends with a child,somethings not right with that
