Do you talked to your pet like humans?

Most of the time I talked to my pet and treat her like a babies. My mom sometimes stops me from doing that, because she thought it was weird. Or not really appropriate, but I love it. I believe that my pet understand and listened what I said. Or perhaps my pet might not truly understand everything that I said, but I like the feeling that someone listens to me.LOL How about you, do you talked to your pet like human?

I talk to my cats, they comprehend more than we give them credit for! And they 'talk' back too, I value this ability of animals to connect with us. They are often more honest than ourselves.

Yes I do but since my dog seems to think she is human then I don't feel so crazy about it. I swear she thinks she is the mother of the children instead of me. If they spend the night at their grandparent's house when it gets dark she looks at me like I am the worst person in the world. I actually feel guilty that's what gets me.

Hi, careguarden, I have a cat and I definitely talk to her as if she's human. I know she understands me to because when I say certain words like "treats" she'll meow at me. It's unfortunate that your mom wants to stop you from talking to your pets. It is not "weird" or "inappropriate" at all. Please continue to talk to your pet. I'm sure he/she understands what you are saying.

My pet is a cat as well, a mother and her baby. Ever since I was a kid I love kitten. But my mom don't really like having pet at home. But now since I'm old enough she allowed to have one. I guess my mom can't relate what I felt but I think she's just learning. Well actually I don't listened to mom, her comments did make me unfazed.LOL Anyways thank you for sharing with us and have a great day!

I do! Hehe....I don't have conversations with them or anything, but I do babytalk my animals :P "Hi my honey bunches! You're so beautiful! My baby..." Lol. Stuff like that to my cat all the time :P I babytalk my dogs too :D They seem to like it! lol. Tails are always wagging :P

Yes, at certain times I ussually talked to my cat, and because of the habit they seem to like to listen to although they can't talked back like us but it is worth of trying because they seems to understand of what I've said.

I have a dog, two cats and a bird and the best conversations I’ve had have been with them! (LOL) My friends and family politely refer to me as eccentric but I know they really mean ‘nutty’ I love my animals and to me they are more like ‘people with fur’ and I have a connection with them, especially my cats that is very real to me. I wouldn’t let anyone stop you from talking to your pet, nothing wrong with it, trust me!
