If your house was on fire, what would be the one thing you would save?

All your family and your pet(s) are safely out. If you could go back and save one thing, what would you save? I have a box filled with my diaries and journals I've kept over the years. It also holds a few photo albums. It definitely has sentimental value for me and I would definitely want to save that.

Hello homeshoppers? good day to you! Well, being practical and if i will have a good brand of laptop of course I will save my laptop first then, money and jewelry. In general money must be the first thing to be save and your life. Money because this thing have many uses here in our world. Imagine if you save your money in the burning house you can still buy a new house again.

this is a very interesting question. I got a lot of pics and vids in my computer. So i would like to go back to take my computer out of my house. Those are very precious things for me so I have to keep them safe and sound.

Aww man! You said all my animals were out? You took my answer! ;P lol. Okay sooo if all my living loved ones were out...do I have a little time before the home is competely engulfed and I HAVE to get out? I think it would be too dangerous to run upstairs to my room (or anyone elses)...so what I would do was run into our kitchen, grab a few of my moms cookbooks, and I would grab our photo albums. I would run that out, and if I had time I would run back in, grab my computer and the book I'm currently reading (it's always wherever I am lol) and I would grab this 2 foot tall wooden camel I got for my mom, and I would grab the wooden thing that is next to it...I'm not sure what the wooden thing is, I think it came from a tree or something--but I know there is something special about it, and I know it's important to my mom... I would run back and forth getting random stuff after that, as long as I had the time. I would try and get as much stuff as I could carry, my mom has a lot of pictures in our living room I'm sure she'd liked saved.

I was looking around at stuff around me wondering what I would take after I sent in my discussion...and I have to add something. There are some pictures on our tv shelves...old pictures of my grandparents, and mine and my sisters and brothers graduation pictures....those would be leaving with the photo albums and cook books. I know they'd be very important to my mom.

Hello ItalianAngel73, nice interesting topic discussion. Well, i think those diaries and journal you kept for several years was really important to you because it's already part of your life and can be considered as your shadow. Well, if our house is on fire and my family is already safe and If i will be given a chance to go back inside the house again, and get a specific thing inside the house. I guess the things that i will go grab is our blankets because my mother told me that blanket is really important because when you sleep on street if you do not have house, it will surely helps you to cover in many different ways. [em]happy[/] Then if I will be give a chance to go back again and get something, i think the right one is my underwear because it is important to maintain the good hygine no matter what happen. Well, this is only own opinion!

Hi ItalianAngel, When this situation happened to me, first I will rescue my family members,my husband and also my son. They are important to me than other things in my house. If there is other chance for me to rescue others, I will get my money and other important documents plus my car key and faster get my car out from the car pouch. I do hope this thing don't happen to me.
