dragon, demon or doggie?

the internet is full of wonderful stories about sea and other monsters. usually involving dead dogs that have someone metamophosised into krakens. have you come across any kracking ones? this might be in marine life but feel free to erm report on any ridiculous stories you've encountered out there. as you can't do start a discussion on silly stories without a link here's a very, very old one about a dead raccoon/doggie: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2484017/Montauk-Monster-Mystery-animal-corpse-becomes-web-sensation.html

hee hee. i've seen this story reported elsewhere. there's apparently a possibility that it's a sloth but the fact that it was found by teenagers and then disappeared is going to make me put my money on hoax.
