Tons of people stress eat, but what they eat varies a lot. Since Aloka nd I broke off our engagement I've been live on cherry coke and barbecue chips.....I ate a bag of baked lays yesterday and now I'm eating a bag of hickory bbq ruffles today. :(

What a bummer-sorry you are sad, beware of eating all the high fat, high salt foods-you will find yourself bloated eventually with high constant thirst-not good....... When I am sad, I eat everything. Seriously-if I really get on a kitchen binge. First, I will go get a bag of chips and eat probably 3 times the serving size. Then I will go grab some mini-chocolate bars I keep in the fridge. Next I will pull out the leftovers and mucnch on whatever is in their. Then I will chug half a bottle of juice right out of the carton, and then I will (hopefully) be done. LOL

hi bluehibiscus, I've been following your story with Aloka and am so sorry that it has to end up this way. So cherry coke and barbecue chips are your comfort food. Try not to over indulge in them bluehibiscus, you might get really plump up and that will make you feel worse. You may want to still look good as you may want to get back into the dating game in the near future. So, try to get over Aloka and get your friends to bring you out to enjoy the outside world. The more you sit in front of the tv with your chips, the sadder you'll be. Having said that, my comfort food is hot chocolate and cookies. :)

Chocolate is my comfort food. When I am going through a stressful period I bake a variety of brownies...or buy something loaded with chocolate at the bakery. Chips fall into the entertainment food category...something we like to munch on while watching football or NASCAR.

When I am really depressed about someone I don't tend to eat anything as I don't feel like I don't deserve food. However when I am feeling depressed and fed up with myself I tend to eat pasta and have hot chocolate.

My comfort foods seem to be sweets such as chocolate or ice cream. Espeically ice cream. There is jut something about dipping my spoon into the carton and scooping out the soft creamy substance and letting the coolness of it mingle on my tongue that is quite comforting. Ice cream is also a big nostalgic food for me. It comforts me in the fact that it reminds me of my childhood, taking me back to the days when my parents, sister and I would go to the local Dairy Queen and enjoy some family time.

I tend not to be a stress eater. In fact, when I'm very stressed, I usually don't want to eat anything at all :( However, if I'm seeking some kind of comfort food, it's probably going to be some really good-quality ice cream. The kind that I won't spend the money on under normal circumstances ;) The other splurges might be either Tostitos (with lime) chips and salsa or a bar of really dark chocolate. I hope you will be feeling better soon, bluehibiscus *hugs*

When I feel sad I like to eat sunflower seed, sometimes I can not have it so I eat chips. It really works to me. After eating these food I feel better a lot. However the result is obvious too. The first year when I came to the uk I had many things to learn so I felt sad. I ate a lot of chips but my weight was up a lot too. So now I control myself on these food. However sometimes I lost control and just came in the kitchen and started to eat. I forgot my weight losing plan.
