poor form of middle order in indian team

Champions Trophy starts from tomorrow . Indians face the first match against Pakistan. The greatest concern would be the fielding for indians . After that the collapse of the middle order in recent games. Particularly , talented batsmen like SURESH RAINA , YUSUF PATHAN are not upto the mark. If this middle order is stable , INDIA would surely win the TROPHY . What are your views?

The indian team has massive potential.... the middle order and sometimes top is very weak... I have to say they need to go back to basics and start watching the ball more closely rather than just swinging their bat going for a 4 or 6 everytime... They play a very odd type of cricket compared to teams like Aus who have a very good batting order all teh way down.... As an India supporter i would love for them to keep their heads down and play cricket like they used to, simple yet elegant!

ya ganesh, you were correct with the point this young indian middle order were not always stable with their bat, they always see an oppurtunity to boom up but never see for consistency like sachin. But i think in middle order yuvraj seem to the best of all in all time indian cricket and in opening sehwag is the best with combination of sachin or gambhir.Always consistence performance will always give cheer to any supporter.

Hi ganesh, I donot think Indian middle order have a problem but our problem is fielding and bowling at the end overs. We loose matches usually because of all this and well Pakistan has yet to beat us in any big interntational event in cricket. I think if we learn how to bowl in last 10 over then we can win but if we do what we have always beeen doing that is get our behinds kicked during those overs then India would loose for sure.

Yeh Indias middle order has been a problem for sometime now. Now that Sehwag is out they dont get quick starts which makes it even harder for the middle order. The good news is that Gambhir and Tendulkar are back, it will be an important boost for India. Hopefully they can lay a strong foundation right at the top. Dravid's also in the middle order, so hopefully he can hold anchor if things go bad. Yusuf Pathan and Suresh Raina need to step up to the chellenge and take some more responsibility. They need to support other players like Dhoni, Yuvraj etc. They need get their eye in, before doing anything stupid. Indias batting order is deep but players need to step up. The last thing you want them to do is get out before 50 overs. Hope they do well in the Champions Trophy.

yes this is one of the biggest problem in the indian cricket team, the openers do theie job but the middle order just don't back them and give their performance, i think the middle order of indian team is just so slow in making runs, they should be playing in the test matches and not in odi's.

middle order were good prior to T20 WORLD cup. But the weakness of the short ball delivery let their confidence down.
