Lets talked about success in a conventional way. I have known someone who's very successful. He has a lot of money, had achieved his dream to travel around the world, quite famous and you name it. He has everything. But I'd asked him once, if he's happy and surprisingly he reply "No, I'm not". So I think success doesn't always bring happiness. What do you think?

Success and money are two things which may make a person totally happy but still contribute to a person's happiness upto some extent success is defined differently by different people consider the richest people in the world they have everything they want all the money, sucess, wealth but such people always tend to loose out on their family and friends, activities they are talented, leisure time etc in the process of coming first of the so called rat race.all their time is utilised in worryin wether their business/work will do well in the future. majority of their activites are devoted towards retaining their successful positions in society

Because people need something to aim for, and when you achieve your goals you can feel like it is an anticlimax, especially if you have been striving for years. Also because people don't automatically choose to aim for what is good for them, so succeeding may mean achieving something which ends up making you miserable.

I have the same opinion too.It doesn't matter how much money you have until and unless you are really poor.Being successful in life not only means having a good business, name. Money is nothing in front of happiness.I am not saying that we can live without money.Surely we need money to live, but Money is not EVERYTHING! You cannot buy love and happiness from money.YEA, maybe success will bring you happiness only regarding your business, education. You need money to stay alive, thats it.Shortly, I can say that you need to have a balanced life,50%money and 50% love and happiness. Then success will surely bring you happiness every time and everywhere!

You're right sheen, it's very important to have a balance in life in order to attained happiness. But sad to say that it's the hardest thing that anyone could do. Relationship fall apart, because they failed to balance their work and family. Children lost their way because parents don't know how balance their time. It's hard to have both. Since most of the time we're asked to choose. Thank you for sharing with us and have a great day!

Hi carguarden You are absolutely right.Though, to have a balanced life is very important to keep up the relationships but it is very difficult as well to keep your life balanced. And that's why sometimes we have to choose from both. Have a great day!

Good day! I see you are a driven person. What I can say about this is that success is a relative thing. We have different points of view regarding this. If a person thinks about something they really really want to achieve and they succeed in it well then that person can feel happiness. But the real essence of being happy lies in oneself. THis is a very wide topic I suppose. It has a philosophical meaning too. :-)

Not all people happy with their achievement but there are people also happy if they are success..so ,I must conclude that success make the people feel in different way. Thank you for sharing with us and have a great day!

Yes, i agree with your opinion. When we want to do one thing or realize our goal, we will exert all our strength to do. And we feel well, this a feeling of happiness. I have watched a movie called "pursuit of happiness", and i am moved by the story of the starring actor, when he succeeded, he had a strong feeling of happiness, and all the audience feel too. So i think success doesn't mean happiness, but if you take a lot of pains to achieve the goal, you will feel happiness.

I have seen that movie too. And it did made me cry. I love the story it's very inspiring. If you worked hard to achieved your dreams not primarily for your own sake but for the people that you love. Then when you reach the reach you'll find happiness because you made someone happy and you'll be very happy. That's what I've learned in that movie. Thank you for sharing with us fglswh and have a great day!

to succeed is a great achievement that anybody desires. when we achieve something we feel good and i think that gives us happiness. but that happiness is just temporary. to have the overall meaning of happiness everything should be balance like love, family and life.

It only means that true happiness does not come from self fulfillment, it's by making or sharing our success and gifts to others. As they said let the happiness of others be yours and you'll be truly happy. Since we can't live alone, we need other people and we need to share our self to them in order to be happy. Success means different things to different people. It could be love, money, family, friends, career, etc. To me, success is doing right by my family and being in love and sharing life with someone that loves you... whether you are in a penthouse or the poorhouse. Money can buy you all the material things, but it really and truly can't buy you love and happiness. Bottom line, success...if we're talking money and material things... means nothing without someone you love and someone who loves you to share it with. Otherwise, what's the point?

Yeah, you're right, material things doesn't bring happiness it can only give pleasure. Happiness and success has one thing in common it is a choice. Thank you for sharing with us Archie0 and enjoy your day!
