THis is to all my ladies out here in myLot land. Does everyone here have a place or a thing they do to keep them sane? By that I mean a hobby, a pleasure, anything that gives them an escape from their everyday living? In my case, it is crafting, I have a million things going on at once at times, I love to create and make jewelry, I write poetry, I scrapbook. What do you ladies do to unwind, forget about your day, your moment? It can be anything. Do we have any naughty ladies in the house?? LOL! Maybe you have a group of friends that you rely on? Please share.

I, too, make jewelry. I usually download an audiobook, put it on my Ipod, go in my craft room, and escape into my creations. It's funny, but most of the time, my jewelry reflects the book I'm listening to. I recently downloaded the Sookie vampire series and it put me in a Halloween mood. So I've been making tons of Halloween jewelry sets. I usually only get to escape like this once my daughters have gone to bed, so luckily for me, I am a bit of a night owl.

Hi fairy, Likewise here, I wait until my kids are in bed and also am a night owl. My crafts are created usually around my kids. Lately, we have been making the cutest wishing wands, my daughter is into Harry Potter and Twilight books and so I make her props to use while she reads, I have made a wand for almost every book, LOL I love it. I was even thinking of maybe selling them, but I would have to investigate how and where. It is my calming grace, I lose my bad day or worries as I allow the jewelry or craft to take me to that happy place. Halloween is the perfect choice given the season, good for you. :-)

whenever I need to just escape and relax I grab a good book go into my bedroom and just read until my son interrupts me. I usually read mystery or suspense novels, its great to dive into another world and imagine myself as the main character doing things that I know I would never do in real life.

That is good gelibean, LOL on the son interrupting you. I have the same thing happen to me with my kids, but a little bit of me time goes a long way. Thanks for sharing. I used to get sucked into the romance novels when I was younger, I always imagined being the damsel in distress! LOL Have a great day.

I use the computer as my de-stressing time. It's time I can play games or do something else that no one else can do with me. Once in a while I'll start reading books, but I haven't done that in a while. I do like to exercise and lift weights all by myself, it is a great stress reliever. I take my ipod and walk a lot, too. helps clear my head somedays and I feel so much better physically.

If something bothers me and makes me feel depressed and sad, I will call my friends and tell them what I'm suffering. That is to search comforting words from them and sometimes they will share me some good points on how to deal with it or just say something and make me happy again. I am unmarried and live myself far away from my hometown and all my relatives. Friedns to me are so important, I love them.
