It should be a shared responsibility... or if the husband stays home and the wife works the husband should do 90 percent of the house work and cooking.. I have argued this point with many people.. There are some men that still have the warp thinking that women belong in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant.. but then I ask about money, and they would say its the new day and age.. she can make her own...double standards thats BS!!!!!! And another thing, a husband assuming that staying home with the kids, and taking care of the house is easy work... or not a job.. MORE BS!!! A homemaker doesn't get a day off, a personal day, a sick day... and it does not have a time clock.. 24/7 365 days a year... would not expect the same from my other half but just the respect, appreciation, and may be a thank you every once and a while...asking too much.. I THINK NOT!!

Thank You for your response. Off course husband and wife should share the works in a house.

why not? my hubby and i both work but he loves to cook and is a much better cook than i am so he does most of the cooking at our house. i think men and women should share the housework evenly!

Yes, husband should help wife in all the activities. Household or her professional work.. its all the part of the relationship.

i think it is 50-50. nowadays, many men are better cooks than most women. but they should share household duties together because they live in the same household and they both make a mess.

Yes sure they should, they should take part in houshold activities and share the workload with their partners. Taking care of the house is a hell lot more tiring that working in an office. I was a working lady and then i left my job to take care of my son and now i know the diffrence between working at home and working in the office and i prefe to work in an office!!

I think this works both ways men should help in the kitchen and around the house as much as possible as well as women should help in the garage as much as they can. Some times the roles are completely reversed and the woman knows more about cars and the man knows more about the cooking and cleaning. It just depends what works for your relationships?
