I am using Windows Vista. It is working very well. It was not actually the choice I made. Icame on the desktop computer I bought recently. Since it was working well, I am keeping it. My laptop also has the same system. For the present any way, I do not intend to chamge the system. May be, when I buy another computer next time, I might try another system.

First of all i need to tell u that windows is not Open source operating system. Unix and Linux are Open source operating system and Ubuntu and fedora ,mandora. many more are flavors of Linux operating system if you are student of engineering or studying in computers then i would request you to use Linux operating system because windows o.s is for basic users. In windows if you move the mouse one should be happens. I am using Linux since 2 years.

I use windows The main technical features of Windows XP are: (1) greatly enhance the system reliability: As WindowsXP using a fully protected memory model, almost wiped out Windows 98 Blue Screen phenomenon. In Windows XP, an important kernel data structures are read-only, so the application can not undermine them. All device drivers are read-only, and for the page protection, so a malicious program will not affect the operating system core region. In order to improve system reliability, Microsoft has also adopted a parallel DLL technology, the core document protection technology and other measures. (2) better system performance: speed up computer startup and shutdown time, reduce the system to restart the case, enhanced graphics, audio, video, network processing system performance. (3) The System Restore feature: You can automatically create a restore point mark, allowing users to restore the computer to the system state before the appointed date, due to the current restore feature does not restore the user data files, so restoring will not lose the user's data files , e-mail. (4) better security: The firewall technology to protect users from attacks on the Internet in general. Support the Encrypting File System (EFS), can produce key encrypted file, encryption and decryption process is transparent to the user.

My Choice is Windows, more specifically Vista. It is really good what I can say. As I need my designing applications like Photshop, 3DSMAX etc those are not available in Linux operating system. Without these applications I can not do anything. As for gaming purpose also I favour Windows, maximum games run on this platform.

I use ubuntu on my lap top and windows vista on desk top. I love ubuntu because it doesn't take as much space and has way less bugs. I really hate windows vista, it has way too many bugs and takes way too much memory, the only reason i use in on my desk top is because i instuled ubuntu on desk top and forgot the password lol. I haven't found the time to fix that problem yet
