Have you ever received a magazine subscription in your name that you..well..NEVER SIGNED UP for? Or never paid for? It literally appeared out of thin air?
Starting last month I started getting the magazine Maxim coming to my home, and in my name. If you're at all familiar with the magazine, you know that it's one where women celebrities usually pose semi-nude in. The PG-13 PlayBoy, if you will. At any rate, it's definitely a magazine that's generally geared towards men - not women, like myself. But for some reason - because of some random mix up that I still haven't figured out, I have been receiving it.
Has a magazine company ever done something like this to you? What was your situation?
Another thing I should note is that while working out, I didn't have any other magazines to bring with me to the gym - so I decided to bring this one. And I was actually pleasantly surprised by the reading material it had. Besides the more-than-half-naked Audrina (The Hills chick) on the cover, there were actually some really interesting articles. I assumed that it would be pretty male-oriented and "smutty", but it actually wasn't too bad. Have you ever been pleasantly surprised with the good quality of the articles in a certain, smut-ish magazine? Or a seemingly-"boring" magazine, for that matter?

I get TONS of freebies online. It's my second addiction on top of making money online. 
I get TONS of magazines free in the mail and I love it. Some of the ones I'm currently getting are Shape, Fitness, Soap Opera Digest, Body and Soul, Parents (not sure why I get this one, haha), Weight Watchers, etc. I really can't think of them all right now. My husband gets a handful of magazines too.
Let me ask you this - did you ever get the magazine Blender in the mail? If you did, they went out of business and started sending Maxim in its place. I know this because we now get 2 maxims sent to our house. Yes, I get maxim for my husband. I've read it myself and like you said - it actually has some interesting things in it. Plus, the semi naked girls really aren't THAT naked. So it doesn't bother me too much. Now playboy - that would be out of the question! HAHA

LOL No, I never got Blender, either! But when I got my first issue of Maxim, a little note was attached explaining that Blender had ended it's publication, and all subscribers got to continue their subscription with Maxim. Weird thing is that I never signed up for Blender either, at least that I can remember.
I love reading magazines, especially when working out. It keeps me busy, which is a good distraction from sweating my butt off. lol.)
I know that you do Coke Rewards, is that where you get some of your magazines from? I wouldn't mind getting Shape! Do they offer that on MyCokeRewards?

I actually frequent a few freebies sites each day and any time that a free magazine subscription is out there, it's posted on there. I'm going to check now and see if shape is still available.
The only free magazine I get through Coke is Fitness because I can't ever seem to get that one free elsewhere.
Yep! Here's shape! Just go fill out the form and you WILL get 2 years of this magazine for free. This is the place (rewards gold) that i get 90% of my free magazines from. It's great. I have a similar story. I for some reason get MensFitness. I am not a man but hey I still read it some of the article are great and lots of pictures a hot guys. I never ordered it or even paid for it but every month it keeps on coming in 
I'm not sure if its from something I ordered online or what.

I get lots of free magazines that i sign upfor online too,and sometimes i forget that i signed up for them, until they start showing up in the mail!
But if you really don't remember signing up for it, here is a possbility for you. I know that on occasion, when i have a subscription to a magazine, sometimes the magazine with stop being published, while i still have a few months left before my subscruption runs out, and the company will "fill in" the rest of your subscription with another magazine until yor time is up. I ALMOSt want to say that this happened with some other magazine i was getting and they said iw ould keep recieving maxim instead, and that if i already had a subscription to maxim (which i do) they would add one how ever many months left i had to my current subscription. *shrugs* this might be what happened to you. Did you have subscriptions to anyother men's magazines that maybe you haven't gotten in a while now?
