The church as the house of God is the house of prayer. When, where and how does the church in your locality have the prayer meetings? Do you sit or kneel together? What do you usually pray for? Do you regularly join?

For our church, if it's the prayer meeting, we usually kneel and pray to God. But if it's just a fellowship, we stand or have a seat to pray. Regarding pray when lying, I used to do it. Becaues I pray before going to bed everyday. Actually, as far as I know, there is no special instruction on it. But lying prayer is not a good method for me. A few years ago, I usually lied down, then started my prayer. What often happened? I always fell asleep before ending my prayer. And the prayer meeting in our church, they usually pray for our church, for everyone who is in trouble, and for every brothers and sisters' spiritual life, etc. You know, it's quite differect to say, because so many things, almost everything in our life. But I confess that I seldom join the prayer meeting.

Same here, lying down really makes one sleepy during prayer time. It is important to note that there are only two gatherings evident among the early Christians as recorded in Acts 2 which the believers continued steadfastly in, the breaking of bread and the prayers. Most Christians only give importance to the breaking of bread while neglecting the prayer meeting.
