I know most of my discussions are about politics, but I've decided to branch out a bit. I spent a lot of my adult life working in one facet of emergency services or another. I used to write a lot about it, but haven't for years, so I decided that MyLot could be a good place to start up again. Like politics, emergency situations are full of topics for discussion. Topics that I think don't get enough attention from the general public. So here's our chance to make those discussions happen. We'll talk about everything from basic first aid to disaster management. The Boy Scouts to FEMA and the World Health Organization. Since emergency management is largely a government thing, poltics can't help but take it's place here in this interest category, but it will always be in the context of emergencies and disasters. Let's have fun here, learn something, teach something and above all, let's work to not make this category the latest victim of sir disaster.
